Good morning!!!!

Good evening all. 79F this morning, overcast to the east, calm wind. Moderate wind, Sky mostly sunny, and high temp of 99F HI 109. Chapel first thing this morning then wife's breakfast of pancakes. After that it was mainly energy conservation. Leg cramps backed off late afternoon and have not returned. Probably combination of dehydration and not enough sodium (salt). So many of the electrolytes don't really have enough sodium, need to carry salt pills on really hot days like Saturday's ride. I take CQ10 with my statin at night.
Jay welcome back, enjoyed your response to Buckeye's roommate issues. Makes me thankfull I have not need to go that route yet.
Drew, nice garden update. Bringing any stew on your trip west? :licking:
Randy good to hear from you! 42 # is a lot of weight!! Prayers for your procedure diagnosis and recovery!!!
Don, it would be hard to pedal that bike!!!!!
Ron great card!!
prayers for all.

Good morning all. It is a refreshing 13C/55F, no rain for once and the sun is shining. I should be raring to go, however I don't seem to have recovered from yesterday's early start to the day, thanks to grand kids who think sleep is for whimps. Whatever else I do today I'm sure a long nap will be the best part.

Good luck for today Randy.

Ron I noticed the bike pedals were at 90˚ instead of 180˚. Don't tell Betty. :D
:)

Don, don't you get hot, wearing that Sherlock costume in a Texas summer ? Sherlock.png :D

Good Morning!!!! 70F @ 3:15AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 97F. Winds light and variable.

Hope I'm up early enough to wish Randy well on the procedure today! Good to hear from you!

Sorry about your onions, Drew. I know you gave them your best shot, though.

That's pretty alarming news on the statins, Wng. I've been on them more than ten years, and no sign of diabetes yet. Almost a month now on the CBD oil, but not much in the pain reduction area, either. I recall reading in a recent Consumer Reports special on pain reduction that there is no strong correlation between CoQ10 use and pain reduction. But like most things, it must work for some folks for it to be as popular as it is.

I've seen a couple of nice bucks out here, too, Jay. Nice to see they made it through the fire OK. Too bad about the truck. Hopefully the detailers have a trick or two up their sleeves to deal with Brogen's effects?

So now we can add card shark to your long list of talents, Don?

I got as far as moving the big ladder to the chimney yesterday when I saw that a pile of shrub stumps were in the way. In the true spirit of "while I'm at it" when I went to get the tractor I saw other stump piles, and in cleaning those up also found a dozen or so stumps I'd missed because they were burned off nearly to the ground. They were no match for the new pink handled shovel, though. But by the time all that was done, it was time for lunch, and still no flu cleaning. So that got taken care of right after lunch, with no drama. The big ladder doesn't bounce nearly as much as the shorter fiberglass one, so it was worth the extra effort to use it instead. There was even a nice breeze up there to help keep me cool, though I did worry about losing my straw hat. As usual, very little creosote had accumulated in the pipe, and the ring I'd left last year at the very top of the stove pipe was missing as well. I don't recall this year's fires being hotter or longer, but there it is.:confused3:

I did get the front axles back in the van, and the front diff, too, but nothing's hooked up or aligned. By 4PM it was getting hot, the tools were getting hot in the sun, and I figured since Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, I'd better get to resting. Yesterday that was best done with a nice tall margarita (rocks) on the back porch, watching the water skiers and the barn swallows.

And speaking of rest, I think I'd better get some more this morning.:tired:

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

80 degrees this morning, going for 101, which it also got to yesterday. I think I've hated the month of August all my life.
