Good morning!!!!

Good morning all. The sun hasn't broken through the haze yet, making it a very pleasant cooler start to the day.

This blue dye works out at 143 fills from a litre bottle, which is 21p (25 cents) per knapsack. It probably saves money as it makes is so easy to see that each weed gets an optimum dose of herbicide and best of all, allows me to concentrate on working back upwind.

Thomas, can you teach a bear to keep away from the feed storage bin ? Those wheels are probably good insulators, so maybe you could position it on a sheet of metal that was connected to an electric fence energiser ground and clip the bin to the +ve. We don't have bears, so I have no idea how fast they learn. Or would they seek retribution after being zapped ?

Drinking first cup of coffee. 63° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 79° with good chance of thunderstorms. Yesterday's storm went north and south of us. Got a few drops of wet stuff. Then back to hot. Kind of hoping today's rain misses us also. Ready for grass to go into summer dry spell. No plans for today. Oldest son is in town. Will have to wait until he gets up to see what is going to happen.

Thomas, glad we do not have bears here.

Hope those healing continue on that course. Prayers sent.

Good Morning All.

73 going to 93.

Thomas, sorry, it's your turn to have the bears. When they were here, they selected sunflower seeds over everything else. Hope they move on and you can concentrate on the deer and a smooth cigar. When I started moving my feeders inside each night, the word got out and a mouse founds its way to the sunflower seeds. It was introduced to a snap trap. I put it on the ground under the fence post that the juvenile red-tail sits on frequently...sure enough it flew over and jumped to the ground and ate it...recycling? So the bears indirectly led to a mouse giving it up to a hawk. Nature is beautiful.

I'm liking the idea of the blue dye. Wondering... how long it persists on the plant or ground? ...does it act as a surfactant? ...would food coloring be any good?

DAB, sounds like a very healthy diet. We had roasted eggplant, okra, and zucchini from our garden last night (and unhealthy manicotti).

Randy, it's so nice that you have Ellen and she helped you through your ordeal.

Buppies, sorry your swimming plans are off. Hope you get better soon. I drank a bottle of water before I even went our this morning to feed the birds...staying hydrated.

Had a dentist check up yesterday...glad everything went well...got compliments on my oral hygiene...strange, but I enjoy flossing :).

I have a small number of logs to split. I haven't fired up the splitter since April, so I think I'll go out before it gets too hot and give it a few pulls and see how she goes.

NWS says it started at 79 degrees this morning going for a high of 98, although they also say today just might be the first 100 degree day of the year. I just know it's way too hot to suit me.

Good morning! 77˚F before sunrise heading to a sunny 98˚F.

The ol women took me to the cleaners again last night (again) only winning 2 out of 5 hand and foot games. Oh well, THEY said THEY had fun. Each game is with a different partner so you can't really blame it on your partner. My wife does not go with me on Monday evening card play because she is not used to the "INTENSE" competition. They keep records for 3 months (quarterly) to determine the best player of the quarter. (I'm ranked 40th starting the second week :ashamed: ) Because of the age of some of these players I'll probably only move up when they . . . .:D.

The 11" Mac IPAD pro with the keyboard folio is working out great. It took about 30 minutes to set it up and go through the tutorials and download the Spanish apps. The charge last all day and it does not get hot in my wife lap as she studies on the porch with the pets. The screen is clearer than the notebook and it is very fast. The 4 speakers are clear enough so she can learn the pronunciation. I think this will replace the notebook for our retirement uses. I bought the iPad for seniors book and it help that I read it before the iPad arrived.

RNG I can see California banning the dye and not the roundup.

DABSGT cruise? Does that mean the end of your diet?

Thomas, now that the bears know they get rewarded for the food search you will have to figure a shocking experience for them. maybe a cattle electric fence - the cows learn quickly. We put one along the chain link fence around my mom's house after they knocked over the well and that has been working well.

Heading to the gardens early to check on tractor and veggies then pool later. Pipeline has e-mailed me the revisions in the agreement, I'll go over them today.
