Good morning!!!!

A neighbor has a 10 year old niece living in Afton Wyoming. She got a cut on her leg, mom cleans it up puts bandaid on it. Girl complains for days that it hurts, finally she takes a picture of it and sends to my neighbor. They see picture and said get her to the hospital asap. Local hospital takes a look, loads her on a plane flys her to SLC children's hospital they proceed to amputate her leg clear up to the hip joint. After a day or two she is still not doing well. Yesterday more surgery, the infection is still going up. They tell the family she might not live through this. I do not have more details than what I've said but it sounds like mom should have paid a little more attention to her daughters complaints of pain. I hope you'all would include this little girl in your prayers. She'll be in ours.

Prayers for all, have a nice day.
Sad, Prayers sent.

Ron, my wife really likes the name Sassy. That was their dog's name growing up.

61° and feeling pretty good.

I havent done a thing since the doc visit, except take my wife to a dr visit yesterday. I did run into costco for a few minutes to look for something. Other than that, laying around, watching tv or on the computer.

Need to email work i wont be in today. Probably take the rest of the week off.

Pulled up weather map, and looks like some rain heading this way. We went 2 whole days with no rain.

Drew, seems like yesterday you started your motor home trip across the US by going to NC to look for retirement land. How long has it been? And i recall your trip ended with a malfunctioning motorhome on the Natches Trace.

I really enjoy connecting with everyone on GM. I have always been interested on what it's like in different areas. Really enjoy those out west, takes a special type to live in snowy wyoming..

Keep thinking on one of my AR trips I'll head down into Texas. Take the family to see the Alamo, so they can be disappointed like i was the first time.. Lol

I managed a construction project years ago at Lackland, so i used to go there a lot, back in the 80s.

Dad had a minor urology procedure last week, so he can't make his morning mcdonalds visit. He had prostrate cancer in 1997, and still doing pretty well now at 95. He visited nomandy 75 yrs ago, a few days after DDay. He was camped just south of Cardiff, knew something was up because they cancelled all leave. He saw the invasion forces sail from cardiff. He says he never expected to live to see the statue of liberty after he passed it going over.
When i was in HS, i took my first trip to England and France, was a trip arranged thru local 4H clubs. My mom and I went. Dad would not go. We took a hovercraft across channel to calais. Rode along the coast, saw some of the concrete bunkers. Something happened with our reservations in Paris, so we went to Amsterdam instead. That was interesting for a rural HS kid.

Well, need to get up... Got a busy day doing nothing.....

RNG. In my early years as an EE, i used to design electrical systems. I have looked at and priced solar systems. The only way i can get a decent ROI is grid tie that i install. But there are those pesky permits..

You see I can design and PE stamp a drawing for electricians to copy, but according to the county I'm not qualified to pull the permit without jumping thru hoops.

You can pull your own permit, if you take a test every time. Different tests for panel installation and running circuits, dont know if they have one for grid tie. When i built the house, i took the tests and did all my own electrical. Just wish it wasn't every time....

Good morning! Ya'll all get up way too early. The post start at 230a.m. my time.

Cloudy good chance of rain 70-80s today.

18 people showed up behind some houses at the FireWise clearing party. We took out or trimmed up and mulched cedars and the neighborhood smelled like a cedar trunk or a Christmas tree lot.

Even after two hours of tree clearing work and walking the Whip for a mile my wife said I need to do more strenuous exercising so she sent me to the lap pool. I will have to do it every day during the summer it was very enjoyable. With 8000 people here you would think there would be someone to race- but no. Empty. Just had to race the clock. IMG_3017.JPG

I'm getting some help in the garden with the bugs. There is a definite decrease and someone is getting fat.

68°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 91° today. Got some rain last night, but the bulk of it missed us to the south. More of the same expected later today.

Good news, Randy. Hope the torture goes well.

That's a tragic story, Lynn. You don't think something as simple as a cut can go so bad so quick. And yet ...
My old drummer who had his leg amputated last year is in that picture at the restaurant, sitting at the far end of the table. He had a similar situation where the infection was caught just in the nick of time. He lost part of his leg, but not his life. Hoping for the best for the little girl.

PJ, looks like a crew I could enjoy their company and their talents. Would offer just a guess, but were any of those nice looking ladies possibly groupies at one time or another??? :) It would be cool to hear all of them play an "unplugged" type event in a quiet location.

They are all good people, Kyle. As for the relationships, there is so much past drama sitting at that table that I'd almost be embarrassed to recount it all. It certainly wouldn't be a PG-13 story. I think the drummer and I are about the only ones in that group who didn't meet our wives/girlfriends while playing somewhere.

"Unplugged" acoustic stuff is all the rage right now, at least around here. The guy at the near end of the table, the guy on the right leaning back, and myself used to be an acoustic trio called Happy Little Trees. It was a fun group.

May as well give you introductions around the table clockwise.
Tom in the blue shirt is the guitar player for the Sammy Hagar tribute band, and I've played with him in several other bands as well, he's a human juke box, and is originally from Baton Rouge. He's an IT hardware guy at a major hospital.
Amy is a friend of the couple across from her.
Laurie used to own a popular club and restaurant in the area.
She is dating Todd next to her, who was the first person I met in Kindergarten, and is the finest guitar player I've ever met. He's always been a professional musician.
Dawna is my Wife, next to me.
Roberta is Bobby's wife.
Bobby is the drummer for the Hagar tribute band, and several other bands I've played in, and they are both originally from Troy OH, then Dallas, now St. Louis. He's a retired printing industry executive.
Derrick (hiding) is a guitar player currently playing bass in a local Queensrÿche tribute band. He's an aircraft mechanic and a licensed pilot.
Kelle (also hiding) is his girlfriend.
Virgil (known as "Spankey", and hiding as well) is a drummer in several rock and country bands. He runs his own transportation expediting company.
Meghan is his girlfriend.
Katrina is Deron's girlfriend.
Deron is the guitar player who convinced me to buy a bass guitar in 1982, and has been my best friend since we met in Jr High concert band in 1978. He's an IT software guy for a local hospital.
Yvette is Rob's wife.
Rob is the bass player for the world renown Conquest, a legendary St. Louis based band who are kind of a big deal in the heavy metal world. He owns a construction company that does period-correct restorations on historical buildings around the STL area.
