67 degrees this morning, going for a high of 82. Yesterday we got about 1.09" of rain in an hour or two, but less than 20 miles north of us (Sanger, TX) they say they got 3" in an hour that flooded and shut down I-35 for 45 minutes. Supposedly, our annual rainfall amount is 30.08", but so far this year we've already gotten 23.83". And we're getting very light sprinkles right now.

Ron I’m sure old pup will eventually accept the new pup

We always disengage PTO on zero turn prior to slowing throttle. This one is 14 years old only problem of major concern one or both hydraulic pumps going out

Good morning to all! Low of 50, going up to 82. Good chance of storms, possibly severe. Right now very overcast and foggy. Everything is still wet, not sure if it will dry out enough to get anything done before it rains again.

Ron, hopefully the pups wil become best friends in a few days. It took almost a week before our older dog (12) would allow the pup to get within 2 feet of her. Now they play all the time, wait for each other, etc..

Bird, we've gotten more rain this year than I can remember getting in quite a few years past. I just wish it would be spread out evenly vs getting dumped on.

Hope everyone has a peacefull Sunday! Prayers sent as usual, extras for Randy.

"Rick, I have all kinds of 3PH hydraulics. But very seldom use them. Mostly back blade and landscape rake. I would get 88" if your tractor is just a little short of PTO HP. But then I do not have tough TX grasses to cut. "

Thanks Ron. I'm wondering what your experience has been with 22 PTO HP running your flail rated at 30-65 PTO HP? Do you have to really slow down in deep or thick grass? Our pastures are Coastal Bermuda with some Bahia. The Bahia is difficult to get a clean cut in one pass with a rotary cutter.

It does bog down a little in heavy stuff. The FM62H I have is rated for 20 to 45 HP. Only need to let off hydro a little in that stuff. I now cut every 2 to 3 weeks. I got a set of hammer blades in mail yesterday. May get them on and try out this week.
With how well the 62 runs on my tractor. I wish I had gotten the 78.

Oops, I misread specs. Thought the FM-62H was 30 HP too.

I'd bet you could sell your 62" quickly?

Thanks.

66°F and .28 inches rain.
Got initial layer of sand in trench yesterday and compacted. Rain should have helped. Will adjust.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

A foggy 56ºF for today’s low temperature; a humid 70ºF presently probably close to today’s high temperature. The sun is trying to make an appearance; if it does I may see some decent t-storms percolate up. Wifey woke up ~4:00AM complaining that she could not breathe. I threw all my inhalers away a couple of years ago due to expired contents and I have found a more effective bronchodialator; but I did manage to find one, a combivent inhaler, that was only a year beyond expiration date and some OTC decongestant cough medicine. Luckily the meds worked, but Wifey did sleep to 11:00 which led to alternative “quiet” activities outside so far. Pretty unstable atmospheric dynamics developing.

BEF- A nice looking pig roast. I am glad you could enjoy yourself and have good eats.

It reads like everyone posting has had/is having a decent weekend. I hope that those not posting are all in an improving situation.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Rick, as you might surmise, I’m a flail guy and prefer the hammer blades.

Ron.
You might recall I sold my CaseIH DX35 in March. The Kioti CK30 will still be used until the LS ready, then I will clean it up and put on CL to sell, but not until after we get back from Alaska cruise in July. Plenty of life in that tractor and hopefully will serve someone well. I know the buyer of my DX just loves it. So it’s last main purpose for me is contribute to purchase of the LS. Sale of both tractors will significantly contribute to cover outlay for LS.
