Good morning! 77 ˚F heading to the low 90's cloudy 70% chance of rain but it looks all North of here towards Bird.

Wood working class this afternoon maybe a quick lawn mowing before.

I made a desk for my wife's standing desk treadmill. It was suppose to be a temporary desk but she like it so much I thew a coat of paint on it and that project is complete. I made it from the packing wood that came with the treadmill and left over irrigation hose from the garden. I'm kind of embarrassed to tell ya'll that I did not use the magnificent wood shop to make it. I made it with a jig saw on my tailgate.

Beautiful sky reflection in that lake photo, Ron. Looks refreshing, especially with our 75F going up to 95 today.

Took my wife to breakfast yesterday and then hit the gym. Came home to heat and wind and bush hogged 4 food plots full of clover seeds...best "crop" I've had. Hope many will germinate and reseed for next spring after I plant more sunflowers in a two plots and soybean/cowpea/sorghum/buckwheat in the other plots.

We have a pair of red-tail hawks that have been nesting in the pines for several years, and then hang around all year. While I was running the bush hog, I saw this bird shadow rapidly getting closer - looked up in time to one of them make a dive onto the ground about 20 yards away, and then lift up with a vole...flew over and landed on a fence post...then over to the nest. Came back a few minutes later and landed on a tree branch above the edge of the field, again "watching like a hawk."

49 and mostly cloudy, no rain at the moment but the weather guessers are predicting more rain on/off until next Monday. Hopefully it'll warm up then also.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 58° with rain this morning. Heading to 68° with rain ending in AM. Yesterday turned out a lot better than forecast. Sun and 80°. Not much planned today. Everything is so set outside. It's hard to do anything.

I am surrounded by small lakes. Person that took pictures of the Sandhill Cranes and gosling took this of one that road we live on ends at.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

An overcast 42ºF for today’s low temperature; an overcast 46ºF presently; and I anticipate a cloudy afternoon with high temperature in the mid60ºF’s before more rain arrives. Friday-Saturday looks to be sunny and dry. I suspect this unsettled weather pattern in the NE CONUS will continue into next week. Most of today’s activities will be garden and plant focused until I smoke that boneless leg of lamb later today.

It's 38° this morning and overcast. Yesterday was overcast all day with one light showers in the afternoon and a high in the low 50's. Today will be partly cloudy later in the day and in the mid 50's.

The neighbor with the sheep wagon called last night and said he was back for the summer. I'll run up and see him this morning. I got most of the rust and paint off of the bumper yesterday. It's going to be awhile before I get around to finishing that project. The camper is still under a tarp and parked out of the way.

Not sure what else I'll be doing today.

It's hump day already, have a good one.

67°F and spotty rain this morning, going up to 89° today. Expecting off and on storms through the day, and more potentially severe stuff this evening. After that we get a bit of a cool down for the rest of the week and the weekend.

Got home from work yesterday expecting to sweat a little while mowing, only to find the nephew already had half of the back yard done. So, I let him go. He got most of the grass mowed before it got dark. Freed me up to do some other chores.

thank you for offers of water and watering.
I am enslaved to my sprinkler system...moving it every half hour through the potatoes.
Hot out, on second shirt already, waiting inside in the a/c for carpet steam cleaner to arrive.
No more watering of the potatoes, not during heat and sun hours, will probably start up again at 6pm.
But I do have one sprinkler not on a timer going in the tomatoes and peppers. That I have to pay attention to.
Hard to keep up with hand watering, sprinklers get the job done but use a lot more water.

First tomato picked this morning, a small one that was jammed up next to another, so one had to go.
But it will fill a sandwich for lunch just fine.
First eggplant showed its head recently, growing that for fun, not for me.
Beautiful clear blue sky day.
After I finish watering and the carpet guys leave, might go mow roadsides in the cab tractor.
