Porta power, log splitters,TnTs, etc... got me to thinking. Turns out my screw jack only has 9 inches travel at best. A lot of work to make 41 ft.
So I’m thinking, hmmm, I have an unused hydraulic cylinder from my first flail mower. Managed to mangle the hoses so hanging on the wall. I also have my recently arrived hydraulic offset for my new flail. Still in the box as this propane thing has had my working attention lately. Wondered about length of hoses. Appears they are just long enough. Hooked them to old cylinder and tractor. About 13.5 inches of travel for that ram. Should be able to get at least 12” usable. So, modifying my approach and will let the cylinder do the work. I think I can do a better job of straight on push than with the backhoe. No idea how much power, 2 inch cylinder and will be powered by my rear remotes.

41 °F and going to a high of 63. Wind NW 16 gusting to 22 mph. Sunny! Finally some decent weather.

DIL needs me to take her to the dentist today, so while she is there I will go and get my plates renewed. We can do that up to 180 days before they run out. That'll be $120.oo for 2 years sir. The Jeep expires this year and the Dodge next year. Trailer plates are permanent, no renewal necessary.

I may try mowing the grass for the first time this summer.
That will be my day.

Have a good day all

I'm ready for a sit down and cool off after digging out umpteen bull thistles on my rounds this morning. Some seeds will be legacy from the distant past, a few from the odd one or two I missed last year and quite a few from our less than considerate neighbour. Still, all good exercise.

My supervisor wants the front of pastures, along our road to look like a park so ....... it shall look like a park.

Rick, did supervisor issue detailed spec for the park, or do you get to choose ? Car park, theme park ...

Good morning! 45 now. May get to 67 later and dry again today. Supposed to be near 90 this weekend.

2nd cup of coffee is almost gone. And I am soon gonna be gone to work for the day.....

We worked outside last evening. More progress for yard work for the year. May start putting some plants into the garden this evening.

Good luck on finding a new mower Buckeye......Lawn care equipment are a pain....gotta have them, not all that reliable....IME.

Kyle...keep an eye on #20/#69 Sunday at Springfield. There seems to be something special about this race for those 2.

Everyone have a safe and good day.

OK looks good, aggressive, but what are the advantages to the PTB.

I'm new to attachments and have had my problems with tearing into a banking without using the bachhoe, was wondering if I might gain something by using one of these PTB.

Absolutely! The PTB made a HUGE difference for me when I got it. It especially helps when you are digging, or pushing in to a pile of dirt that has rocks in it. Wouldn’t be without mine.

However, I do have to take it off in the winter when I put my bxpanded.com bucket expander on for moving snow.

Poured first cup of coffee. 37° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with lots of sun. Need to put a little time into Zip tying wire harness on golf cart. Put Flail mower on tractor and cut back and side fields.

Lynn, nice PTB. They did not have them when I bought a Long tooth Bar. It weighs 120 lbs. Are the PTB's lighter.

Don, rides are not my thing unless I am in control.

Buckeye, a charging port on Lawnmower.

Rick, looking like a park is good.

David, here is a quick calculator for pressure on a cylinder. Looks like 2" cylinder at 2000 psi equals 6283 psi. 4" cylinder would be about 4 times that.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Good morning to all! Low went to a surprise at 32, a thin coating of ice on the steps / walkway this morning created an even bigger surprise for me and the dogs! Didn't go down, but almost...looked just wet. Supposed to go up to 58, cloudy, but gusts to 50 are expected. No big rains expected.

Nasty weather going up through the plains...bad news for some... Bunch of tornadoes will probably happen again in the 'alley'.

BEF good luck on your mower search

David, hope the hyd. cylinder makes the job go straightforward....literally... Good luck your way!

Lynn, nice PTB! I want to get one, but can't even get them to answer the phone, website doesn't work to allow me to order, let alone get a price....maybe I just have to keep calling until someone answers...or maybe wait until they slow down...do they have a slow time?

Today I have to check the brake controller in the truck...since getting the battery changed yesterday, the display hasn't been like it was before... I hope they didn't mess it up somehow...

Not sure if weed wacking will get done today...might get too windy..it's getting gusty already and the sun didn't even come up yet!

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent.
