Then Tues I went in for a heart cathe and they致e got my right hand on light duty for a couple more days. The cathe was success. We now have proof that I have a great heart for a 70 yr old including the worst plaque build up of forty percent in a couple of places. Excellent for a man my age. So I can still eat my eggs and bacon tacos every morning, sorry Don, genetics.

Yikes, you are in the danger zone. Most heart attack occur when plaque build up is above 30%. I had my heart attack after they said my plaque was at 40%.
Stay hydrated, and don't exhaust yourself. The plaque that breaks off is the newly formed plaque, but don't think about that when eating your eggs and bacon . . .
RNG needs your expertise as he consolidates his new equipment options.

57°F and scattered storms this morning, going up to 76° today. Looks like we may be near 90° the next couple of days. That should help dry things out a bit.

Awesome info on skid steers, Harvey. Nice shelter as well. My Wife is a mix of Cherokee and Choctaw, from her mother's side of the family. Not enough at this point, though to be a member of either nation. Nice that the Choctaw Nation helped you with the shelter.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

A partly sunny 36ºF for today’s low; a cloudy 47ºF presently; and I anticipate today’s high to be in the high 50ºF’s and cloudy before the rain/rainshowers return tonight and which will stick around until the weekend which should be sunny and dry. Hopefully a decent day to prep garden area for tilling and hope for things to dry out around here. Historically we do not plant the garden until ~Memorial Day so we are still “on (glacial pace) schedule.

Bruce- A day on the water is a good day. Thanks for sharing. I always enjoyed watching the shoreline scenery; especially when a passenger. Next month I anticipate time on the water in SC with BIL and GF on their pontoon boat.

RonJH- Thanks for the Sandhill crane pictures and link. Wifey and I are now involved in another national bird count .

I am still trying to grok all of RNG’s, Harvey’s, Don’s, Rick’s, Eric’s et. al .provided information on coasting, SS’s/excavators, and storm shelters. I tried to determine if coasting is still “illegal” in MA, but the governrnental legalese-speak is confusing at best. I am under the impression that is not illegal now. I always coasted down Rt 9 traveling to the “Big City” in the Valley when we had manual transmissions; it’s a 12 mile downhill coast.

Time to abandon Plan A on pipe. Metal detector only a $50 cheapy, strong enough to detect the rebar and mesh but not the pipe.
Kinda committed to being ready for the poly by Monday. Cutting concrete still last resort.

I agree with Paul: The Choctaw Nation has a program that helps homeowners that are members
of the Nation on the purchase of a storm cellar or safe room.

Now that is one very fine well thought out benefit, I'm impressed.
Particularly impressed since I've been pricing them out and anything large enough to not get instant claustrophobia
is four grand, five grand for a little more room. I emailed one of the big companies and asked them which model had two means of egress.
Dead silence. No reply in the last week.

I might be better off making my own out of concrete block in the garage. I have a spot for it, but the premade ones with sixteen bolts into concrete are
darned secure sounding. And do I really need a full 1/4 inch steel?
I think I do...I've got some of that on some farm equipment and yeah that looks good.
This is where having an engineering background would be seriously helpful.

So I have the concrete floor of my garage as a prime location since I can run an electric cord in there for light or whatever.
Something to run my massaging Barcolounger I have installed.
Those steel benches on the premades look awfully uncomfortable to me.
Need some serious cushions made.

And then one has to make the list, what makes the cut inside and what doesn't.
I would like two air intakes and two ways out. No single point of failure.
Which is why I may have to build it myself since bigger premades are way too expensive for me.

Good evening all. 61F for the start, partly cloudy, light wind. Some increase in clouds, wind was moderate, and high temp was 86F today. Men's meeting to start, bike ride, mileage and frequency going up to get ready for Katy trail ride. Did finish motor break-in period so now it is on to skiing and fishing No nap today, and car shopping tomorrow. Is the request for boat pics for interior or exterior or on the water?
Drew, a lot of the better landscapes were obscured by large docks, here is a start. Rumor has it the large rock wall supports a swimming pool with an insane price tag.
