Good morning!!!!

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 9:45AM. A good deal of sunshine. High around 85F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Just got the last of the motorcyclists off on his return trip; he came all the way up from San Diego. Really great guy, very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We found a lot in common, and after all the others cleared out yesterday, went for a nice ride up the canyon. Beautiful weather, almost empty roads, and lots of water in the Feather River. The return loop was closed due to snow, so we came back the same way, and it was just as much fun.

Seems like fewer repairs and maintenance is done each year during the event, and even fewer participated this year, probably due to the Easter weekend and threat of rain. It did rain, boy howdy did it rain, and lightning and thunder, too, and it was close. But that came late in the afternoon Saturday after all the campers had their tents setup, and most of the work was done, so we just rolled everything into the garage and took seats to watch the show. By six PM the sun was back out and we enjoyed a pretty sunset while dinner was served. Good food all around, good company, and a fun time for all.

But now I think I need a good long round of recovering.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

See and Hear Chrysler's 1-HP Mopar 426 Hemi Crate Engine

I really need to find an old car to put one of these in.
Hard to find anything with a powertrain that would hold up, basically have to replace everything.
1000 horse power.
wonder if it would fit in my truck...as my torque converter lands in the next field over

hiller on, all the potatoes hilled, trying to rally one more time to go do some light tilling with Gravely, forgot to wear headphones while driving Farmall, head is roaring away now, will sure wear them if I go out again.
But then, tomorrow is another day. Chair sure is comfortable...

69 now, cloudy and breezy with that big storm just off the coast. Ellen keeps banging her hand on stuff, because she doesn’t sit still for a minute.
We took down Easter decorations, went to the grocery store, made appointments for my shoulder and Ellen’s finger. Going to dinner with friends tonight.

Buppies, get better soon, for everyone that has an issue, prayers.

That's a good-looking field, Drew. Nice work.

85 here today. Day started off at 45.

I’ve spent the whole day in the bed with a stomach virus. Youngest one had it Friday night and I woke up with it last night. Helper is taking care of birds. They will be leaving this weekend.

Wife’s at dentist getting her mouth guard fitted. She keeps grinding her teeth in her sleep.

I run those bar tires on my ZTR. Once you get in the habit of making a 3 point turn on each end then you will love them. If you’re one that spins around you’ll be replacing divots. I run mine backwards. They have less traction but still more than turfs. Besides if you slide into a muddy area then you are more likely to back out. If I slide into a small ditch then I turn and cross instead of trying to back out. Success is in the 90% range.

Drew nice field.

Randy hopefully Ellen’s hand heals fast. Dad broke that same finger once. He got his wedding ring off before the swelling set in and didn’t have to have surgery either. His break also had a spiral to it. Wasn’t clean. His happened at work though. Had a 17 year old inmate start swinging a large wooden plaque he’d taken off the wall.

151 pounds of collards delivered.
I'm bushed....
but neighbor called, has time to put the discs on the Super A so back out I go. Need to rehill the potatoes.
make hay while the sun shines....

I have never weighed collards, but I will on my next pick.

One ounce (1 cup raw or 1/2 cup cooked) is a serving size so you'll picked 2,416 servings. Wow!

The only real slopes I have are my septic mound, so my turf tires are pretty good. But these garden tractor sized 23/10.50/12s on the Kubota work a lot better than the 18” tires on the old Simplicity.

Ellen straightened her finger herself as soon as it happened, before the swelling got bad, when she tried the ring it was already too late.

Our town library has a textile exhibit this month. This was one of the all fabric displays.IMG_2856.JPG
Four walls or layers of netting gave it a realist 3D look with fish on each layer.

Made it home, 2045 miles round trip, and doing it again in 3 weeks. Brought back some of their stuff. Oldest graduates then, if he passes his discrete math class, lol. It's kicking his a....

Anxious to go to work to hear about the buyout....

Good evening all. 60F in Kerrville this morning, overcast, windy. Sky cleared off, stayed windy and observed high temp was 84F on the way home. 35 miles this morning and trip home Fri-Sunday totals 186 miles, 7,000 ft climb, no flats or other mechanical issues, bike chain does need a good cleaning.

Nice photo and hope you aren't too sore.

Up early this morning and got some concreting done before the sun had chance to fry me. Indulged afterwards in a half hour nap which felt so good, I'm almost tempted to do it again this afternoon.

Mostly, I'm sure you can have a guilt free nap too after 186 miles and 7,000ft.

Kyle, I was wondering if they apply herbicides and fungicides for crop protection through the same pipework ? Sometimes I think too much, I should just enjoy the pretty patterns it makes - Dimmit from above is incredible.

Dimmitt looks much better from the sky. But, if you travel through at night, the sprinklers have various colored twinkling lights which kind of looks like when the alien lights were crusing around in the movie Close encounters...IIRC.

Nice visit here with son, GF, dogs. Plus my wife and I beat them in cornhole...seniors rule!

cornhole??? almost afraid to ask. I sure ain't going out back for anyone to show me. :)

Eric, places like Gear4Music are indeed like a musician's drug dealer. On this side of the pond, we have Musician's Friend / Guitar Center and Sweetwater, as well as a few others. I both love and hate when those new catalogs arrive in the mail. Wife always gives me that jaundiced look when she hands them to me.

Do you ever suffer from GAS? (guitar acquisition syndrome). I do. They are like art and some of them sound good. Best that I don't have much to spend on them. My problem is I'm better at playing a stereo than a musical instrument, you pro's make it look so easy, but it is most definitely not.

I noticed that fancy restaurant only serves AB brand beer products....my kind of place.

Glad you made it home safe. Hopefully son will pass that class. Last semester can be a mental gauntlet...If you don't pass a class, then you are stuck for another semester. It is a lot of pressure for a young adult.

I got home at 8pm, ran out and started the tiller. Tilled the weeds in my garden. Only chance I had to get it done before tomorrow's rains begin. Green beans my son and I planted 10 days ago have sprouted up to about 2" already.

Drew, you are going to put Walmart out of the collard green business. They are going to wonder why their's aren't selling. You are going to have tons of potatoes if they turn out decent. Your garden looks great. I'm glad you have helpers to come volunteer to help feed the hungry.

Good morning. Enjoying an hour or so of light cloud before they reckon the sun will break through yet again. My apologies to whoever is missing some decent weather, this should surely be intended for some other place, far too good for England at this time of year

I run mine backwards. They have less traction but still more than turfs. Besides if you slide into a muddy area then you are more likely to back out.

That is smart thinking, I may try that on our mower.

38 °F and going to a high of 57. Wind SE 10 mph. Rain in the forecast.

No great and pressing plans for today. A dump run is in the cards as well as a trip to the hardware store.

Other than that, conserve energy day.

Good morning. 48 now, 65 later with some rain. Rest of the week is similar.

Driest day is Saturday, which is good. First Ohio race of the year at Mansfield. Should be a large turnout. We are running the Yamaha with the newly built motor. The rider and I have been talking set up. Suspension has become complicated!

Ran the little tiller last night, finally got some onions, lettuce, and radishes in. Yep, it is spring.

Time for another cup of coffee. First on is gone.

Everyone who has aches, pains, sick, etc., get well soon.

Have a safe and good day.
