Jay ... It's 8300 feet. We're on the north slope of the of the Uinta Mountains in Southwest Wyo.

It looks like I have some help the neighbor is here with his skid steer.
CWB.

Wow you got hit good.

It has only snowed on/off here but nothing laying down. In fact it's snowing right now. I normally wouldn't care but I want to get my yard done so I can stop tromping around in the mud.:grumpy:

Randy,

Your Mom has had quite a life as you’ve described. My parents are both gone now but had similar life experience. I do not believe the world will ever see a generation like that again. She is fortunate to have you looking after her. I hope her remaining hours on earth are peaceful and her final journey all that she has wished for.

Frank

It's 27 this morning and overcast. The snow started Tuesday afternoon and stopped some time last night. It snowed for over 30 hours. I'm not sure how much we got but I'm thinking over 2 feet. The wind picked up yesterday morning so we have some good drifts. Today is going to be partly cloudy and in the mid 30's with some more wind 15-25 mph.

One of the neighbors stopped by yesterday and got stuck in the driveway. He run into one of the drifts, he said he couldn't see were he was going. We spent about a hour digging him out.

I was going to make a trip to town this morning but it will take me most of the day to dig us out to the road.

Hope everyone that's having health or personal problems the very best.

I'm not sure if I got two pictures on here are not. If I did sorry.
CWB.

I bet you're about done with snow. For me, I love it and since we don't get much, I love looking at your pix. Thanks for sharing them.

We've had running water today and used it like it was going out of style. Thanks for your support on this.

Was up with the plumber 'til almost midnight. Yes, RNG, he will be the new go-to-plumber.

Been sitting here at the computer doing my youngest son's taxes while watching a gobbler strutting out the window. I don't get to see that very often. Opening day of gobbler season is Saturday. I've now done 5 sets of taxes. I'm liking the idea of a tax return on a post card a lot.

Today is the first day of pine pollen here and it is everywhere
...I might be pregnant.

 Beat me to it, Jay. I rarely stop in here on weekends (don't use my computer much at home), so catching up on Mondays is a chore, especially when, like this past weekend, it's a three day event. We are definitely a busy crew.

Sorry Honey, up an hour early, got to get to work to catch up. No, not my work, TBN! :D

I saw four pages to read and thought no way am I ever going to remember anything here...
However, thank you Jay. I genuinely promise you I won't go up any trees with a chain saw. But I did just pick two big cartons of
collards at the end of a very long day and wondered where I was getting this energy.

All the peppers are planted, over 200 of them. Leftovers headed out tomorrow to Master Gardeners plant sale.
Still have another tray of okra to plant. Just said that's enough for today, worked to 6pm. All the melons are starting to pop up
in the seed trays, they get planted next week. Lots of warnings about not letting plants get potbound so they only stay in the trays about two weeks. Though it uses a lot of consumables like potting soil, finding that if I plant in bigger pots, then use cookie cutter planter than cuts a two inch hole in ground, pop the plant in, firm the dirt around and on to the next one.

So with exception of one small area, mostly for okra, it's all planted.
Even potatoes are coming up uniformly, though they sure
don't look as nice as Don's.
All the car mags drove the 6 cylinder model Stinger, but 255hp is the same as the Audi engine output.
I haven't found the need for more. Besides I have the truck to listen to if I want V8 moans.

I just remembered a battery charger is still on and not a smart one. Back out I go...like leaving the iron on.

Mom's are/were/should be/will be our heroines. A lot of the posters here are/were fortunate to be the offspring of the "Greatest Generation." A common theme here is that these values remain values for those a generation back or 2.

Randy- My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for Mom.

Wifey, a CFO for 30 years for a nonprofit corporation got our TurboTax filings done. In many ways we are still a nonprofit operation. Hardcopy = +72 pages of $ BS to be mailed to the IRS.

The IRS could ultimately be responsible for global deforestation.
