66°F and .65 inches rain. Looking to be a wet day ahead.
Got a decent start on taxes, that effort will continue today.

New iPad Air delivered by UPS late yesterday. Got it configured. Think I’m going to like it. Will clean up my old iPad 9.7 Pro and pass down to our son to replace his aging unit which I think is at least 6 or 7 years old.

Kalani healing well. Interesting to watch Kekoa be attentive but also less rambunctious.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

RonJH- I am happy to read that you like your PC. I met my new PC. The next day I fractured my patella. I have yet to get the ordered bloodwork from 8 weeks ago.

David- Thanks for sharing the news on Kalani's healing and Kekoa's attentiveness.cool::D

The "Horrible Cat" has returned. I have not seen it all Winter. I suspect it is one of my neighbor's barn cats. It's not quite as "Horrible" now = 1 less red tree rat.

I hope that everyone is having a manageable day.

RNG, hope you can isolate that gremlin vibration. Frustrating when you fix somethings and problems get worse.

The driveline vibration did worsen somewhat, but it's not as bad as when it came back from the ex-mechanic with the flange bolts loose on one end. And he thought it drove just fine, then. I was pretty much expecting some degradation, but just need time to make some measurements and perhaps do some shimming to get the DS to be straighter and perhaps only bending in one plane.

Does your driveshaft have any kind of damper on it? There are lots of vehicles that use them, but you usually have to cut an inch or so from the length. They will correct a lot of foul harmonics.

Add whitewalls, A/C, and dual rear antennas options and it's even more than that.

Took me a week, and a trip to my Ford Dealer, to find out that my new truck unlocks when I approach it with the FOB in my pocket. I thought doors and tailgate weren't locking.
I dont like that, cause i prefer to pull the door handle to make sure it's locked. I want my vehicles to be dumb.

Randy, prayers for your mom. It's tough watching the decline in health.

Well, back from the ortho doc....knee still not cooperating. X-ray shows further narrowing of the space. The doc is writing it as "sudden substantial degradation ". Supposedly an infrequent, but possible complication of having 2 surgeries within 6 months. He injected more cortisone today, and is requesting 'prior authorization' from the insurance to do 3 weekly injections of another medication (which I now forget). He did tell me to "do whatever you can within your tolerance"....when I 'm doing stuff, I can tolerate it well....it's afterward that sneaks up and bites me! If this next treatment doesn't work...replacement time...

Rick, I never knew that the Fords lock / unlock like that. I'm not sure that I would like it. Similar to BEF, I like my vehicles to be dumb. I'm still grabbing for the window crank and the stick shift in the new truck. Even when I lock the new truck, I can't hear it lock, so I still check the door handle too.

Good news for today... I got a phone call from a guy that owns an old VW bug shop in town. He wants to buy our '69 restored bug, and the '72 bug project. He offered half of what I was asking, and about 40% of what they 'might' be worth... I'm just going to let it all go. I'm never going to get back to 'showing' them. They are taking up space and I need the bucks for sure. SIGH.... They were fun, but time to go...had quite a few lookers, but no takers.

He's coming to pick them up this weekend, so I have to go exercise the knee and dig out / consolidate all the parts for him to take. A consolation prize is that I'll get more room in the shop!

Thanks for the well wishes for mom, I know it’s close to her time, and she needs the rest. She has worked since she started hoeing cotton at 6. She loves to work and has been so bored the last five years.
My dad died when I was 12 and mom made sure I never went without. She worked two full time jobs, one 6 days a week in upholstery shops. 7-5 on one and 6 to midnight plus Saturday on the other. Still found time to enjoy life. She was a Sky Watcher in WW II, still has her wings. Besides upholstery and window treatments, she could build a barn, lay carpet or vinyl, tune up a car, cuss like a sailor if somebody messed with her and literally out shoot anyone I ever met. She shot two different chicken hawks flying, with a .22 bolt action Remington in one summer. She milked cows, fed hogs, sewed up a pig that a dog tore open.
The woman has lived her life and God knows I’m going to miss her!
