Meet Joe. Joe is moderately autistic but a fully functioning nice adult child of one of the food pantry volunteer ladies who helped with
planting potatoes and collards. Joe helped plant these collards in my fields, he helped pick them and now he gets to give them out to the folks coming by.
This picture was printed out and put on the wall at the food pantry where Joe was just thrilled to death, smiling all day long.
Life can be so very good.
Your veggies are helping in multiple ways... Nice job Drew.

The tractor vs wheelbarrow went as expected. Nonproductive but kind of fun.

Happy birthday Jay!

Thanks for the + thoughts. The tree guys are gone. I am pretty happy with their work.

There will be a few before and after pics pending.

The cherrypicker operator was pretty amazing weaving through the upper canopy.

Paul- Thanks for the LTCC reminder. I am good to 2020.

Lou- Thanks for the turkey pic.

Don- Whenever I do something like your wheel barrow pic it was not on purpose.

Jay, hope you've had a wonderful birthday.

BEF, hope your anniversary was special.

Ron, thanks for sharing an update on your ductwork project. I have bookmarked the company and will continue to consider them.

Don, I looked on the Yanmar site...no mention of the winner...and looks like they've taken everything down about the contest.

Got a few more acres bush hogged yesterday and another load of firewood cut and split. Need to build sides onto another pallet.

Cold and raining here this afternoon. Had an early dermatologist appointment this morning...1 cut and one squirt...not too bad.

Then a Costco run...Yikes!!! ...the rotisserie chicken cooker was gone! So was the snack bar! They are doing a remodel. Then Tex-Mex and pick up some tractor oil for hopefully tomorrow's oil change.

Thanks for the + thoughts. I do not feel a day over 100, but I'm still going through adolescence maturity-wise.

My gift to self arrived today via UPS- A pair of truckers' 2" wide suspenders as recommended by Lou. I think they are the Lou signature edition.

Lou- I believe that you posted/mentioned a T-ROM knee brace previously. It seems that I am knocking mine out of its set settings. Did you experience something similar?

Drew- Thank you for your gift. Your picture of Joe made my day as well as Randy for his family portrait of Gracie and Buddy.

The tree service may be done today.

Brogen is definitely not a watchdog. His idea of home defense is to create a forward field of slobber with a St. B. speedbump as backup.

I hope that everyone is having a decent National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day

Hope you enjoy your suspenders, does take a bit to get used to them.

As far as a knee brace, can't help you on that never had to wear one.
When I had my knee replaced the ortho doc prescribed a CPM Continuous Passive Motion machine,
laid on my back with my ankle and calve strapped in and the machine flexed your knee for you,
just kept dialing up the % of bend.

Happy Birthday, Jay!

All the rolling stock is now at home. Brakes on the Jeep $500. Rear bushings and 6 new spark plugs on the Dodge, $1061.oo. Maybe now I will get better fuel mileage out of the Dodge. The plugs were toast.

I WILL be plowing in the morning.

Love it.

Topps, nice pic.

So, the hospital closest to me (25 miles and not many other choices within 50 miles), has a surgeon that wants $250 for initial appointment and $800 fee, all up front. He is supposed to be in network. I think this is wrong. He should bill the insurance, and then I pay.... Maybe look for a different surgeon.

That sounds like the insurance deductible, well at least mine. I'd be talking to my insurance before I dump him.

Good evening all. 40F for the start, partly cloudy, calm wind. Sky cleared off inspite of forecast, wind was up and down, and high temp was 70F. Cleaning lady was going to come this morning, so prepping for her was the start, worked on Volagi jockey wheels, less chain jump than before, barely there now, bike ride went well, still have some intermittent rubbing to track down. Had a long nap this afternoon, worked on getting phone notifications on GPS still no joy.
Belated Happy Birthday to Jay plus many more. :drink:
Interesting project, Ron thanks for update and pics.
Drew, nice post on Joe.
Ted wife is cleaning out cookbooks, whole lot of stuff did not make the move to TX.
prayers for all.

Don, did your garden freeze? It was 34F here this morning.

Whew, close call.

My remote temp records the lowest temp for a 24 hour period and it says it only got down to 35 ˚F here. I'm at a lower elevation than the gardens so it is cooler here. I checked the garden - no freeze damage. Potatoes are 6" high already and looking healthy.
