49°F here this morning and going to be sunny and 75°F this afternoon.
We had our make-up CPR / First Aid Training last evening for the one that was cancelled a couple of weeks ago. This one was held at our County EMS Building. In addition to the course, one of the PHI Medi-Vac Crews brought one of their helicopters over from our local airport and gave part of the course. They did the training on the application of Combat Application Tourniquets (C-A-T), wound packing, and then discussed pre-flight / inflight infusion of blood and plasma products. (I was amazed / shocked that over 50%, of the roughly 30 attendees, didn't even know their own blood type?)
We're working with PHI to provide them with an LZ in our local area near the ranch. One of my neighbors has a large open area, at the front of his ranch, right on a main road.
CPR recommendations haven't changed much, since my last course 2 years ago. 30 chest compressions, 2 rescue breaths, 30 chest compressions and so on. 15:2 if you have a partner. Change duties with partner every 2 minutes.
We spent more time on the use of AED's now that they are more prevalent at business etc.
Plan for today, is to knock down and flatten a bunch of old gopher mounds in two pastures today with our 3-point chain harrow, before grasses get any taller.
Also hoping to finish spraying grass growing in the middle of ranch driveways before grading them again.
Everyone have an excellent "Hump Day".
Prayers to all.
