39 early, sprinkle of rain overnight, 50 today and tomorrow, 29 tonight, not time to plant much here yet.
Supposed to warm over the next several days.

My neighbor mowed his wild onions yesterday, grass really wasn’t thick or tall enough to mow.

Rick, I bought those Gator blades you linked me to, I Gotta put my new blades on and service the Kubota so I’m ready in about 2 weeks for the first mowing of the year.
Good day and God bless.

My dishwasher is 52 years old. Still washes the dishes as good now as he did 25 years ago. :D
Mine is older, but prefers using the machine, or paper. Lol

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

A clear and sunny 17ºF start to the day, a sunny and clear 30ºF presently, and I anticipate temps ranging around 40ºF later. The day is warming up rather quickly. I doubt that I'll need to feed the wood stove anymore today.

Ted- An amazing find and with the original countertop too. Even better it is being used as intended. Nice job on the finish, Thanks for sharing.

"…. Either I’d don’t get as much accomplished anymore or my time expectations are off - maybe both…"- David. Even when I am “functional” you do more in one day than I do in a week’s worth of efforts. I really like the cabinetry work and the “grab bar” handles especially. I could use them around here. Thanks to the + thoughts. I am probably more at risk of "stupid" now that I am semi-functional with one crutch. That also applies to the PT exercises. Progress is being made; even if it is at a glacial pace.

My plan for today is simple: Fashion a garter for my T-ROM knee brace to keep it positioned correctly. Roasting a boneless leg of lamb with rosemary/garlic/anchovy paste tonight for dinner. I have not cooked lamb here in almost a year. Indoors or outside in the BGE is the question. If I choose the BGE I'll also bake some rosemary encrusted potatoes (not for those limiting salt intake). Actually this meal is not for the health conscious. Right now I am episodically cooking old comfort foods; definitely not all anti-inflammatory foods; I'll return to my healthier ways once I am more functional.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

I used my dishwasher for a liquor cabinet for years, but that was back when they were not very good, for the last 30 years we use it for its intended purpose.

" Couldn't get the metal oil filter drain plug to screw off the oil filter housing...I must have tightened it too much last time. It has an o-ring. When I tried to unscrew it, the whole housing came off with it. The housing is plastic, so I took it to my vise, into which I tightened an old socket wrench and then tried to loosen the plug by gripping it and trying to turn the housing. No luck. Any ideas?"

Good morning to all! Low of 38, going up to mid 60's. Now forecast says a chance of thunderstorms this evening.

We have have not used our dishwasher for the past 15 years. It was the second one for this house. The first was used a few times, but never did a "good job" (as far as wifey was concerned). The second (current) one was a 'better' unit, but did a worse job. I believe the problems with them were really a result of hard water and being the furthest away from the hot water heater. A big waste of water to let the faucet run until hot waster got to the faucet, then turn on the dishwasher. The second unit had a water "preheat" setting, which helped, but just didn't do a good job. We've been hand washing or paper...

Today is 'dog food day', so I'll be on kitchen clean up committee, cleaning the pots, grinder, and utensils as the phases are completed. Only takes about 4 hours, not sure what will be on the agenda afterwards.

Got 2 recalls for the cars in the mail. One for the Jeep, the other for the Nissan. Both are for the passenger air-bags. So one appointment tomorrow morning, another on Thursday morning. Both dealers are about 35 miles away one way. I'll have to wait while the recalls are done. I hope I don't like any of the new vehicles. Could turn out to be very costly .....(especially since wifey won't be there to keep me in line):D

Hope everyone has a great day! Prayers sent

31°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 54° today. Low to mid 60s for the rest of the week.

Had some wonderfully satisfying success with resolving studio software problems yesterday evening. Got the new program downloaded and registered, and it functions as advertised. Turned out they had a "Product Manager" program I could download that had everything registered and working in under a minute. Nice when things actually work. Spent a little time playing with my new EZdrummer 2, and had a drum kit saved and an entire song programmed all in about 10 minutes. This is definitely going to make songwriting and recording much easier.

Also picked up the new four-channel interface unit from Guitar Center on the way home from work yesterday. I now officially have a 21st century recording studio. Now, I just need to learn to use it all efficiently. :D

Nice cabinet work, fellas (and wives).

I've always liked the 2002s as well, RNG. Neat-looking cars. I've also always liked the VW Type-III Notchback. Something about that style has just always appealed to me.

It's 21° this morning and sunny. Today will be partly cloudy and overcast this afternoon. With a high in the mid 40's and light winds.

Everything went good for our friend in in Park City yesterday. She is home and doing well.

Don't have any plans for today.

Hope everyone has a great day.
CWB.

It was 59°F this morning and sunny. Forecast says 79°F this afternoon. No rain, is predicted, until the weekend.

I have a bit more grapple work, in two pastures, to cleanup some fallen branches from some dead trees. One or two are former "widow makers" that prevented me from just pushing over entire trees in the past. I can do all of this with the 55 HP tractor & grapple but, may use the 100 HP tractor & grapple later to push over and move a couple long dead trees, sans "widow makers".

We have living quarters, in the shop / barn, that we stayed in before building the house here. It has a full kitchen and combination bathroom / laundry room so ...... that's where dirty work clothes get laundered and where I can shower when I get filthy too. Helps me stay out of trouble, in the house.

Hope everyone has a great "Hump Day Eve".

Prayers to all.
