The trial was canceled this morning so, a trip to town for nothing.

The county attorney is a friend and neighbor so, went upstairs, in courthouse to say hello. He gave me the 25 cent tour of the courthouse and the court room.

I've always really liked all the old courthouses of Texas.

Unfortunately our neighbors, in Austin County, didn't feel the same.

Paul- I am sorry to read about your micro managing boss who should be enjoying himself on vacation, but chooses instead to focus on work and annoying you (and others) as you cover for him over the weekend. I feel sorrier for you. The only thing worse than a boss calling on his vacation is a boss calling on your vacation.

Don- I really like the trail and am happy to see it used.

Drew- I am happy to read and see that the stabilizers now work.

Had my first PT session today. I like the PTist. He was thorough in his evaluation and working me through the ROM and strength building exercises. Mr. Knee is not happy. Realistically I really need to go slow with the PT and not push things and end up further injuring myself (BTDT). 4 more weeks

He is the epitome of a micromanager. He went to Mexico last week on vacation with his wife and youngest son. I suspect he spent more time on his phone talking to various people at the shop than he spent enjoying his vacation. He told me before he left that he never enjoys vacations ... for that very reason.

My very last boss, the one when I retired, was a drama queen and a micromanager. He was just what I needed to seriously consider retirement, then put a spreadsheet together to show me I could afford to do so. For that, I'll forever be grateful to him, but for the rest of him, he was the absolute worst of anyone I ever had to report to.

Hope you can hang in there, Paul, and keep your health in the process...

Last time the disposal got jammed up, Bird, I used a piece of broomstick to, er, unstick it. I think I just unscrewed the handle from a push broom... Turns out a piece of grit, probably from cleaning mud off my shoes, got wedged under the rotating thing that chops up the trash. Still didn't learn from that, and still clean my muddy shoes off in the sink. Just another one of the joys of bachelorhood.:laughing:
