I could not have said it any better. I don't think I've ever been hungry enough to eat that stuff.

You might want to consider to protect that bypass.

The low is 10° this morning. The sun was most of yesterday and in the mid 30's. It looks like today will be a bit nicer with the high around 40° and sunny skies. They are saying that we will have a few more days like this.

By the end of the day I could see just the tops of some of the sagebrush out front. I think it will be awhile before I see bare ground.

I'm going to make trip to a bigger town with a neighbor this morning that will take the better part of the day. Then go to a St. Patrick's dinner at the Catholic Church.

Hope everyone has enjoyable weekend.
CWB.

Good morning all,

8 degrees this morning, clear blue sky and no wind. Sounds like a repeat of yesterday. Gets up to about 30 degrees during the day.

My youngest son came up to visit yesterday. I think it was so he could shoot his new gun. AR15 Daniel Defence Blackout addition with a silencer. I was impressed with how quiet it was, no need for hearing protection. This son has nuclear clearance to work on the B-52 stealth bomber, and he still waited over a year to get the government OK to own the gun. I guess it's different agencies but does seem odd he can work on a jet with nukes on board and had to wait so long for the gun.

Hope everyone has a safe and productive day, prayers for those in need.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Today’s high temperature of 41ºF occurred ~3:00AM, currently 37ºF with increasing wind. I expect the temps to continue to drop into the mid20ºF’s today. A lot of dry weather in the foreseeable future for this area.

Yesterday’s orthopedic appointment was a reality check; not exactly what I wanted to hear. 4 more weeks of the T-ROM knee brace, but I can remove it at night to start bending the knee and increase the ROM settings by 10ºF’s per week as tolerated. I got the “riot act” from the PA about “stupid.” I tried to set up PT with the nearby hill town clinic, but could not get an appointment until mid April. Monday I need to get another referral to a PT provider in the "Big City.” Plan for the day is to gain access to my Big Green Egg on the deck still surrounded by compacted ice/snow and break down the firewood on the deck down into kindling with my electric wood splitter. At least my world has expanded to the deck. The surrounding area is still too icy for safe walking.

… Such a crock the documentation required for renewal, proof of birth, social security, address verification.- David. I hope Sophie(?) did not have to wait in a line moving at glacial speed. For long term diesel storage I would consider an algicide. I do not think Fluid Film prevents the buildup of algae. Like RonJH, I use a variety of PowerService products year round.
Power Service

Claye- Thanks for sharing your snow pictures.

Wifey makes our hummus from canned beans. Black beans are my favorite.

… I just want to go home and crawl back under my rock for a couple of days.- Paul. Every time I read about city crime and/or another massacre I am so thankful for living in the middle of nowhere and have the means for self protection.

Eric- I am sorry to read about your wayward bales and the carbonized hot cross bun. I hope the rest of your day is less eventful.

Drew- I am sorry to read about your burgers. :(

Don- Good luck with the trail markers and your attempts at crowd traffic control.

I hope that everyone has a decent weekend.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes.

It's actually probably not the *****, unless it's an SBR (short barreled *****). I reckon it's getting the ATF approval for the silencer. I've 2 silencers (both .22LR) and it took the ATF 8-9 months (each) to process the approvals.

I'm thinking real hard about going the .300 Blackout route. Never fired one, but I've read good stuff about the caliber and quiet of a suppressed version. If I do go for one, it's just be an upper since I already own a couple AR-15's.

Good morning to all! Low only down to 40, going up to near (hopefully) 54. Clear and sunny. The snow from yesterday melted off except for some shaded areas. Supposed to have increasingly warmer days until Tuesday, then cooler again and chances of some showers.

With the reported 'cooking failures' , I think i'll pass on attempting any food projects today.....

Jay, glad to hear you can be a bit more mobile...be careful out on the deck...

BEF, could you ship some of those weeds out here? Would be nicer than just the brown dirt this time of year.

RNG, when your out doing all that firewood processing....just think...."a lot of people have to pay to get a workout like this!" Enjoy the medicinal bourbon!

Everyone have a great weekend! Prayers sent for all.

Roy, it is the 300 SBR blackout. Sounded like a 22 maybe even less noisy.

I think my last drivers lic renewal was done online.

I have to go in for my renewals. Because I have an Enhanced License. Allows travel into Canada and Mexico without a passport. But it requires only my old License be shown. Makes you wonder who makes up these rules.
