9°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 27° today.

Been relatively quiet here in PJS land. This is a good thing.

Spring is near, the first tomcat of the season arrived this morning to court the only outdoor female that hasn’t been trapped and fixed.

28°F and sunny this morning. The winds are much lower this morning so, our wind chill is 21°F. It's expected to get up to 48°F here this afternoon. Yesterday it struggled to get to 34°F.

If the wind stays down, I'm hoping to get some more tree trimming done today. If it EVER dries up here, I'll get all the dozens of limb piles move to burn piles.

Great news on the Woodworking Mentor Don. WW is, and has been, my stress reliever for years. Think safety and work safely. Like RNG noted ..... eyes, ears, and where needed breathing protection. I've spent more time improving dust control than anything else in my shop. My biggest issue though, with our humidity, is rust.

Another issue is to keep woodworking and metal work far apart. A friend did some minor welding, in his shop, with sawdust on the floor. He woke up in the middle of the night to see his shop burn to the ground.

Everyone have a great "Fat Tuesday". (Hey! I resemble that remark! )

Prayers to all.

Good morning to all! Low of 33, totally clear skies at sunrise, going up to 56. No precep until maybe Friday. Should hit to 60+ temps for the rest of the week.

I hope that the wifeys that are in stages of healing continue to do so without difficulty.

Eric, now that your on 'double duty', take care and pace yourself. Looking forward to seeing more pics of the lambs.

Drew, sounds like a good crop /variety of potatoes. Hope the weather cooperates and you can get them planted.

RNG, glad you were able to get past the computer issue and hopefully no further issues arise.

Arrived for the ortho doc appointment 15 min early, had to wait 40 minutes past the appt. time before being called back. Then the tech stated it would still be a while before being seen, there were still 2 other patients waiting to be seen before me. It was almost an hour and a half past the appt. before being seen.
So, I'm still in limbo... Slight degradation of the knee, confirmed by xrays, but no further improvement was seen. ROM is still limited, swelling and pain continue. I explained the difficulty in getting the referral for the rheumatologist approved, giving him dates of calls and emails, and the lack of communication between the appropriate parties. He was genuinely concerned and provided very specific paperwork to submit. He is still unable to determine what is causing the lack of improvement.

Today will entail getting the paperwork to the adjuster and maybe some followup calls.

Hope everyone has a great day. Prayers sent.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

6ºF was today's low temperature; 17ºF now; and I should see mid 20ºF's later. Currently focusing on hot coffee and keeping the wood stove fed.

Eric- Congratulations on the lambs. And thanks for the picture. No sightings of any early bird migrators here yet; but the local sugar houses are steaming.

"... Ron, Prayers for the journey you and your wife are on."- Randy. I'll add my prayers as well.

".... Ron, good action pic of survival of the most bullish."- Don. I agree; I could use a few SandHill Cranes around here for tree rat control; or even better a Snowy Owl. Both highly unlikely.

I have no clue why or how :embarrassed:, but I managed with the help of the Migration Assistant to transfer all my files from the desktop to our (my) new laptop w/o incident. It took a broken knee to get the laptop.

Ted- I am sorry to read about the appointment wait; frustrated that no one has a clue as to what is driving your pain & swelling; but encouraged that your doctor seems to be on the same page (now) with the rheumatologist referral. Good luck.

I hope that everyone has a manageable day today.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all and especially for those challenged by medical/physical/cognitive conditions that few really understand, but regardless must deal.

Unfortunately, that seems to be quite normal in this day and age. I know there are exceptions to every rule, but from what I've seen the last few years, I'd say that most doctors couldn't care less about their "customers" (I don't think I'd call them patients); they're just something the doctor has to tolerate to make money.

18 degrees here this morning, but a clear, sunny day so it should warm up pretty rapidly.

It was 9° this morning. Yesterday was sunny in the high 20's, the wind picked up in the afternoon. Today is going to be partly cloudy with chance of snow showers this afternoon and a high in the mid 30's. The snow is going to continue in to most of Wednesday with a 90% chance of snow.

Made a trip to town with neighbor yesterday. Also gave ride to are propane driver up the hill to see if he could get into one of the houses up there. The owner had told him his driveway had been plowed. We got there and there was still two feet of snow on it. He said he wasn't sure he could even make it up to the driveway if he put tire chains on at my place. He was not happy.

Not much planned for to day. I'll see what happens.
CWB.
