Good morning! YIKES 21 ˚F.

During the cruise, which was a neighborhood event, (buses picked us up from our picnic area) I met a woodworker club member. He is a wood shop mentor and agreed to mentor me as soon as I complete the safety class. With the influx of neighbors from flooded Houston at the same time a new section was added, the population of our neighborhood has increased rapidly. Wood shop mentors are is short supply for the new members so I'm glad I made a new friend.

The wood shop club is very strong on safety and like that I have no experience, which equals no bad habits. And he is glad that I agreed to help him on his project - wooden "Toys for Tots" to get my experience on the machines. It's a win win relationship, pics in April.

He said there have been only 2 accidents in the wood shop and both by experienced people. One was cutting a stump that flipped and broke a nose and the other lost a fingertip on a saw. The fire station with ambulance is right across the street, which they used, and rules say you must always wear your ID, with emergency contact info, so they know which wife to call and tell her your on the way to the hospital.

I wanna say I met the drummer. Lives in Austin. Really cool dude, been to his home/studio. Gold records abound on the walls. He was also drummer for NGDB Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I've seen Poco play in concert.

We had a scare last night.

I gave my 8 year old son some queso and chips. My wife turned the corner walking into the kitchen and immediately screamed "He's choking!!!" I jumped up and as he was hovering over the trashcan trying to get a breath, I told my wife I might have to do the heimlich. Really quick I handed him a glass of water and said take a sip. He did and it went down. Thank the Lord. Medical help is 30 minutes away if I haul arse with him in the car....

I read where swallowing Coca Cola, or another piece of SOFT food, such as bread dipped in water, can work.

After it was cleared, I said a little prayer and then chewed him out for not chewing his food enough. Told him to carefully chew food like chips, or fish, a few extra chews.

My BP is boiling. My wife got into a scam with some makeup. She ordered a sample online, and unknown to her they are repeatedly billing her an outrageous amount monthly because she didn't cancel in 14 days.
Already cancelled the CC they are charging, but according to the terms and conditions they can still come after her for payment.

I did call the company, and told them cancel cancel cancel. They gave me a cancelation number.
We never received the product. They billed almost $200, then 3 days later billed another $200.

CC company says we might have to pay, which i dont understand since we never got a product.

The company claimed she clicked notification of the terms to pay for the sample, but i just signed up using a fake name and address, and got to the payment page without any notification.

No sleep tonight.

I got choked on a Fireball when I was about 7, my brother recognized what was happening and hit me between the shoulders, the fireball hit the floor.

They will cover any fraudulent charges, if you got no product, were misled, they hid the details, anything that looks the least bit hokey, you will be protected.

Good evening all. 19F this morning, clear sky moderate wind. Wind slowed down later this afternoon, sky stayed mostly clear and high temp was 46F. Picked up Stepdaughter this morning, and gave her her dog back :thumbsup: Made it out on the bike, nicer ride than last Saturday, and did stove duty all day. Missed last night check in due to 4 hour download of new map .
RNG used Garmin express to download map, gave me the option of installing straight to sd chip (Windoze version)

Very thankful your son is ok Kyle Buckeye I think in court they would lose if that helps. If your wife had the slightest misunderstanding judge throws out. I would fight this.


At some point I was a huge Motown fan but like all different types of music except country just never was my thing now can enjoy head or long hair music ie Mannheim steam roller

On another note, my company which has to reissue our W2s because of a mistake, says it will take awhile. They recommended we file as is, as the mistake will not change the bottom line. I checked mine already, and the numbers stay the same. They underreported our HSA contributions, but they are below the limit.

Since im not going to sleep soon, i filed my taxes. Woohoo.

On the scam, their web page says "Free bottle" three times. When you enter your shipping info, it takes you to a payment page where it says "Free trial, just pay shipping". It also says "1 month trial package".

It would not take a fake cc number, so i dont know what happens next. Up to submitting a payment for the shipping on a free trial, there is no mention of a 14 day cancellation or you get to pay the full price.

Apparently the first $200 bill was for the "free sample", then yesterday they billed another $200 for this month.

I caught this because they left a message about a shipping issue. My wife txted me because she thought i ordered something.
When i called the number they left, they just answer "customer service", no company name. An app on my phone identified their number as "order scam".

Mastercard was very aware of this company, but didnt think they could do much.

I hate crooks. This company operates on deception.

No, I didn't. The spreadsheet and approximations put me within an order of magnitude, and it didn't scare me off. Hopefully before the week is out a pro will sharpen the number and I'll know if the whole project is just a fantasy or we're on for real.

I got all the numbers together for the accountant to do my taxes. That needs to be couriered to him.

I am getting a new radio in my 18 year old big truck this spring. It has needed one for the past two or three years.

Our annual tanker 'safety meeting' will be over two days in the middle of April. We call it a safety meeting but mostly it is corporate BS about how they want us to act when we are on the road. Now that the family sold us out to a corporation I can just imagine how deep the BS will be. This will be my 33rd one and the BS never stops. I will go down there on the day before and grab a motel room for the two days.

It has been a rough night for anything only a few days old, with heavy rain for hours and a strong wind. Fortunately I had been tipped off that it was coming and with only 20 lambs at the moment, I was able to get them all under cover. One was missing this morning. A ewe taking an unusual interest in a pallet gave a good clue and sure enough there it was, stuck between the top and bottom slats.




Yesterday was the first time for me to make the pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. They were tasty, although my supervisor didn't trust me enough to let me toss them in the air out of the pan - our ceiling is only 8'

3F clear sky low 20's for high.

5:25pm last evening 4 deer were feeding before 6pm 11 deer were feeding,least they had something to eat before facing cold night.
After work to grain store for critter food than refill both feeders in for another chilly night.
Mr. red fox stopping by more often now for meal.
E muffin feed little critters let pickup warm up before slow roll to work.
