I love owls. Before we got chickens, I had tried to lure a barn owl here by building a hutch.....But owls and chickens don't mix.

Chicken count = still at 2. We have plenty of eggs.

New mattress arrived, and so did some new Sketcher shoes. Both have GEL memory foam. Life is cushy tonight.

Another meeting for my autistic daughter and the school tomorrow. We have to go tell them what they are doing wrong.....

You guys are talking about the weather patterns being weird. But any meteorologist will tell you that so called normals, come from averaging extremes, not having the same weather day after day.
When I was living in Vallejo CA, in 1971 or 72,it snowed so much the freeway to Oakland and San Francisco we’re closed for several hours. They said it was the first snowfall there since something like 1888.
Weird weather is the norm. But I do understand what you mean.

Good evening all. 28F to start, overcast, calm wind. light wind day, sky remained overcast, and high temp was a balmy 32F (forecast for 45F). Stove duty all day today, Trip to town to get medicine, then home. Local internet company has been upgrading to fiber optics, got changed over and cable buried while gone .

I have trouble with high calcium and low sodium, I spent three days in the hospital in 2013 due to low sodium, (Hyponatremia).

Pretty productive day today. Two areas ready for roof metal, the 8x27 lanai area and 6x6.5 cover where the diesel storage will be. Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice sunny, dry, calm day. No handling metal roofing when wet and windy.

Sore throat never fully developed and congestion has been keep reasonable thanks to Benadryl. Wife got it worse than I, but I think she is turning the corner.

Still need another day of painting and prep for the 10x22 tractor roof, hoping some of that makes cut tomorrow, at least the painting part.

Some interesting snow pics and adventures, thanks for sharing. Still don’t miss snow or the frigid cold of my youth.

March 1st looks like the lion starting to growl little 2 storm systems heading our way for the weekend.
Deer fed early last evening total of 8 at one time.one of the little buggers decided to take lookz inside of the shed. :laughing:
No real plans for after work plus its date night with the Mrs.

-5°F and going to a high of 27. Wind SSW 15 mph. 40% chance of flurries. Snow tonight.

It is a 'local' shopping day today. we've got meat ordered from the local butcher.
I've got a couple of felling wedges to get and a chainsaw to order. The good thing is that I have done enough business with these guys over the past 24 years that I don't have to put down a deposit.
I will get my chain oil and screw clevises at the hardware store.

As I plow tomorrow I will start whittling away at the snow pile in front of the door my backhoe and Jeep are hiding behind.
It isn't time to get the BH on yet, but the Jeep and its' winch will come in handy when I get to the tree, which will be after about 3' of snow melts.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 7° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 35° with mostly cloudy skies. Yesterday turned out much nicer than forecast. Sun was out most of the day and 33° for a high. Got a few things cleaned up in shop and got prepared for a couple of projects. Dr appointment and PT for wife. May stop at Costco. Have annual reward to cash in.

Deer must be getting hungry around here. Had 11 deer at feeder trying to clean up what was left of the 1 gallon of feed I put out for birds and squirrels. I think it's going to get worse as winter continues.

Kyle, tyre is OK. It's the colour that gets me.

Glad your arm is getting better. Mine is getting better. I can raise my right arm and touch my left ear. Been over a year since I have had that kind of motion. Which means I can comb my hair with right arm. Still working on strength.

I use Waze, not as much as it did when we travel with motorhome. Waze is owned by Google and uses Google Maps.
When you get in a traffic jam it can give you a alternate route. But that does not work after a while. Because there is a traffic jam on that route also.

Eric, when I'm grocery shopping with my wife, she gets very focused on what items get bagged together, or kept separate...has a smart system. She also has many reusable bags, and won't take a Costco bag into Trader Joe's for example.

Ortimber, hope you get your power back soon. Nice chainsaw by the way.

Buppies, when I had to replace my 026 last month, I got a MS 260 CM. So smooth, and the decompression valve works great...never knew about them before.
