47 going to 63...maybe showers this afternoon.

Great video, RNG...house floating on a cloud of snow fog looked cool. The van looked lonely. :(

BEF, I bought an Interstate battery at Costco for my tractor 2 or 3 years ago to replace the original Kubota one and it is doing great. Hope you just got a rare bad one.

Turns out my day wasn't too bad...no tooth numbing and it still didn't hurt...just gets tiring having a drill going so long grinding down a tooth...temp crown, then perm in 2 weeks. Staple removal was fast after waiting 90 minutes...doctor did a good trick asking me how I got the cut to distract me...used a small tool that looked like a pair of pliers. Thanks for the kind wishes.

Decided to roast coffee when I got home rather than do taxes...weather too nice, 78 on the porch, so roasted outside.

Happy Waitangi Day, New Zealanders!
I have an older costco kirkland battery in the MF. Not sure how old, but they switched to interstate around 2015.
My kubota has original battery, so it's getting up in age (but really low hrs).

Good afternoon. About 72 in Louisiana, my visit with the customer ended early, at their request. Been a long week though. From the time I got up Monday morning until I went to bed Tuesday morning, I was awake 31 hours. Been a long time since I worked midnights. Hopefully this week is the last time.

I did forget that when working midnights, beer & bourbon are acceptable breakfast drinks. My wife had a hard time wrapping her head around that when I told her.

I don稚 do energy drinks, but at the urging of the young sales guy, I tried energy drinks to get through the night. Monster works better than Red Bull for me....

I had low expectations for this trip. I am sad to report I set the bar too high. What a mess.....I have no sympathy about this situation....very long story. The customer rep conceded the problems aren稚 our problem and ended the visit about 5 this morning. I think his wrist was getting sore writing down all of the findings that were pure and simple under their responsibility and control.

So a nice Louisiana dinner tonight and fly home early tomorrow a day early.

Well, time for another cup of coffee.....got to get my body back on a schedule

Everyone have a safe and good day

Never cared for bourbon, but yep, sure did occasionally have a beer with friends when we got off work at 7 a.m.

David- Good luck with the lumber sorting for your project..

".... I did forget that when working midnights, beer & bourbon are acceptable breakfast drinks."- Rich. Worked for me when I worked 11PM-7AM at the psych hospital. I am sorry to read that your - expectations were -ly exceeded. At least the customer rep owned the problem and you are getting a decent Cajun meal for your efforts. I wish you a safe flight home and hopefully your "time clock" will readjust.

Today the Fedex driver told me that he was impressed  with what has been deposited on the driveway by Brogen at the perimeter of his dog tether. Even worse those deposits may become the safest footing with all the ice and anticipated icing tonight/tomorrow. By the time my knee bends enough to operate the tractor relatively safely I'll need the FEL to move Brogen's creations.

I hate to post this four letter word, but maybe just maybe the NE CONUS may see cold white stuff falling from the sky midweek next week; maybe a lot of cold white stuff. I've seen eye candy weather maps all Season w/o much to show for it on the ground.

I quit my first 2 jobs out of school because they had afternoon and midnight shifts and wanted me to work them. Job I retired from after 30 years did not have any shift but days. Although some days were very long. Sometimes in field customers wanted midnights. Being the most senior employee with company. I reminded them that seniority had its rewards. Send one of them young guys. I did works lots of days that started at 2am. By that time in the morning I had my 5 hours of sleep.

RNG, really beautiful pics. Amazing how Mother Nature can paint her landscapes. Wonder if the hummer is regretting not taking a southern vacation?

My guess is he (and what I think is his mate) like not having to put up with the hoards of birds that are here during migration, and the slightly smaller numbers that hang out all summer long. I still keep two feeders up to minimize competition between the two of them, but I think they also like playing tag and dive bombing each other...

Hope the rheumatologist can get to the bottom of what's going on with your knee, Ted, and soon. It's one thing to be on restricted motion when the weather's crummy, but it's a whole different story after it warms up and dries out. Hopefully by then you're a lot farther down the road to recovery!

I worked some 10pm-10am shifts for awhile because it needed to be done. Got nothing special for doing it versus those that didn't.

There was a slight pay differential working 11-7. Working nights allowed me to go to graduate school during the day/early evening. 1.5 years working nights on a secure female admission unit:eek: was "interesting." I always felt cold working that shift; maybe it was because of my work environment.

Drew, yes a hat. I do know better.

The roof - will make perfect sense. I have 6 sheets, 4x10 roofing metal since building the house. Not corrugated or any pattern, just flat as it was intended for flashing as we were thinking of installing skylights. So these have been sitting in various places thru the years with wife periodically reminding me. So, as you can see, it now makes perfect sense to special several thousand dollars in order to utilize a couple hundred dollars of roofing. It will now become a 10x22 cover for my tractor area.
