Didn’t go to the doc, started pushing the cherry juice and water and the pain is already going down. Will see what the next couple days brings. Pouring rain here with temps at 37. Might change to snow overnight if the temps drop. Weather guessers aren’t sure. Thanks for all the prayers/good wishes.

Glad it is better. Good to drink as much water as you comfortably can.

As far as jumping road blocks, they've already killed one guy for doing it, and much as I want to go home, I don't want to that bad.
Here's a link and video:
VIDEO: Fatal police shooting in Camp Fire evacuation zone; man suspect in homicide case

"Spike strips were deployed and Hendrix tires were flattened by spike strips and his car came to a stop on its rims. . .
Seven officers fired their duty weapons, which included handguns and rifles . . ."

Might as well wait a few days so you don't have to get new tires and get shot at.

Especially if you are a suspect in a double homicide, lead cops on a high speed chase, are in violation of your weapons and pipe bomb probation and jump out of the car holding something with both hands pointing it at the Officers.

Don, I did a DuckDuckGo search (thanks Ron) and found this at the Oxford Academic website (long comprehensive article on gout, so only pasted this part on intelligence). Of course, trust the internet at your pleasure.

UA and intelligence

. . .That is to say, the highly gifted people and their families have a higher prevalence of gout at earlier ages than the general population. However, other authors have not seen this association between UA and higher intelligence [49], and the findings observed are difficult to separate from the eating and social habits associated with economic, cultural and intellectual situations.

Thanks for finding the info.

But the cops even shot their own dog. ! ! Does their training just say "point in the general direction and keep pulling the trigger."

Good evening all. 30F this morning, mostly sunny, near calm wind. Sky stayed clear, wind stayed moderate, and high temp was 49F. Choir practice started the day, Leaf sucking took up most of the rest of it. Did get 6 lawn bags up today. By the time I got lunch and nap it was almost dinner time :)
Mpham , glad the juice and water are working.
Drew, you have to be one of the more popular contributors to the food bank!!:dance1:

Got the Christmas lights done earlier today. Had some cars drive up the road to see. Couple of neighbors got their's up also. Took a couple of pics from the road, then down the driveway, up the walkway, then the porch.

Wifey started a competition....she did the tree and associated inside deco....you guys have to decide....here's the outside pics. I'll post her's in a moment. Unfortunately, my outside pics didn't turn out like I thought they would.

30 tonight. Also the high for tomorrow. With snow flurries overnight. No accumulation expected as ground is still quite warm. Has yet to freeze solid this year.

Several thanksgivings as usual. 4 total. Think I did well, didn’t gain any weight from the holiday. I over ate at every meal but then managed to skip one meal that day and keep the calories in check. I’ve lost 20 lbs since June when I had my gallbladder out. Still have some more to go.

Happy belated birthday and anniversaries to all those that have celebrated.

Managed to get some more bush hogging done. Have about 10 acres left for this fall. Just need weather to cooperate for a few days.
Spent time today working on wife’s Tahoe. She started complaining of a popping noise in drivers front. Took it to a buddies place and found the sway control arm end link broke. Replaced both of those and a headlight bulb. Headlight bulb was more expensive than the end links. 3 hours. Including diagnosis and getting parts.

Rng hopefully your evacuation is lifted soon.

Question for you guys. At how many hours would you stop looking at a used tractor?
Kubota is coming up on 3 years old and 1,100 hours. 3,000 hour dpf. I really don’t want to go past that filter life. Do I look at trading in next year before 1,500 hours or keep it to 2,000-2,500 or see how many hours a kubota will run?

33 right now....high in the mid-30's. Steady snow outside and looks like about 4" accumulation so far. The prediction has upped the total accumulation to 6 to 12 inches

LS I vote for a tie inside and out beautiful

30 high of 38 wind gusts to 25mph not good outside working weather

Prayers for all

Farmer I think one would study used values to make determination. How much is new filter may be way less than you think

Good morning all, 33 going to 41 and partly sunny. Got the first Christmas present for wife and ordered some birthday presents for the boy. Stopped by the storage unit to get a few things for wife and got the 2 x 72 belt grinder I was in the process of building when we moved. Hope to get it going before long, and hope to work on it today. Will see.

LS, prayers sent for a big improvment in your knee.

Have a great day, prayers sent. Ed

32 going to 46 and sunny.

LS, I think all of your lights are beautiful, but suggest that your wife wins (then you ultimately win). Prayers for your surgery.

Buppies, 9mm or 380?

Thinking about roasting some more coffee, then getting the chainsaw out for the first time this season. I'll have to carry it to the woods...still too soft to take the tractor.

Congrats on losing the weight!

I think Buppies has a good idea...price what they sell for at both stages of life, and consider what you'd pay for a new one and what you'd get for a trade-in. My tractor has over 1,100 hours and I'd buy it again as it sits.

Anybody have a nutcracker for pecans that they are particularly pleased with? I harvested so many this year that I have to upgrade the way I've been opening them (with a crab claw cracker).

Update on my long Social Security story...I got my name corrected and new SS card in the mail Friday...very fast! It was updated online the very day I visited the SS office, and the application for Medicare next year was approved that very day.

We got about 4" so far and it will be continuing today. I will go out at daybreak and plow everybody I need to and 'do' myself last.
