Ron, although I have been past Casa Loma many times I have never been on the property.

I'm right handed and type with 8 fingers. Yes I have all 8 fingers, the other two digits are thumbs.:D

My Dad was born left handed and wrote left handed until after many, many yard stick teachings* learned to write with his right hand.
* yard stick teachings are when the left handed writer gets cracked across the knuckles with a yard stick.
Remember this was back in the 'dark ages' of the 1920s and 30s.

27°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 54° today. Supposed to be near 60° tomorrow and Saturday, then possibly snow Sunday night.

Kyle, The Wife put a net over the top of our fenced-in coop area. We were sitting on the deck one night and watched a large owl swoop in and land in the tree by the barn. It spent about 15 minutes eyeballing it to find a way in to the chickens and ducks. Finally gave up and flew off to find an easier meal.

Your gas prices up there are insane, L4N. I thought we were bad around here, where prices had stayed steadily around $2.79/gal most of the year. I filled my car yesterday and saw it had dropped to $2.49. Illinois has ridiculously high gasoline taxes. When looking at the GasBuddy site last week, I saw $2.79 in Illinois and less than a mile away across the river in Missouri it was $2.17/gal.

Not sure having a long-haired guy singing in the bathroom would be all that soothing to a youngster, Ed. Appreciate your attempt to get me a gig, though.

I didn't find out I was left-eye dominant until I was in my 30s. Like Ron, that discovery made a world of difference in my handgunning accuracy, especially at 15 yards and beyond.

We usually alternate between iceberg, romaine, and spinach for salad stuff. No romaine in the house at the moment, fortunately. Seems like you can't buy anything any more without some manner of recall.

Speaking of recalls ... got a notice the other day from Kia of a recall for bad switch assemblies for the headlights on the 2014 Soul. Funny, it's the same issue I brought up with my local dealer on several occasions and they couldn't find. Someone finally found it for them.

Last day of the work week for me. Looking forward to four days off and a mountain of turkey.

17F this morning, going to low 40s.

Decided to upgrade family room TV, which of course turned into more projects than expected.. but it is nice. Got the old TV moved into living room and all hooked up. It is amazing how the new TV is so much faster at changing screens, etc.

Very thankful this Thanksgiving, family is all doing well, adoption final on one of the grandkids last weekend.

Praying for those with needs, stay safe (and warm).

PJ, last summer the company I work for was paying out $1.379/Litre ($5.21/US gallon) for diesel and I was pumping about 400 L/day. About 105-6 US gallons.
Diesel here is about $1.339/L still.

Last day of the work week for me. Looking forward to four days off and a mountain of turkey.

I’ve had chickens for 10 years. I don’t have any cover on the chickens. They range around the yard, and into the pasture and woods. I’ve lost a bunch to foxes, coyotes, and dogs. Possums and coons can be a problem. I’ve seen owls fly over the chickens, but never take one. I’ve seen owls, including great horned, get mice near the coop, but a full grown chicken is maybe to much.

I’ve read that coyotes have a culture, in that if chickens, are on the menu, they eat chickens. If not, don’t run off the local crew. The coyotes that replace them might have been raised on chic a fill ?

I thought yesterday was a dull day, but this has it beaten. We are enclosed in mist, which is acting as a barrier to everything except the sound of a crusher munching it's way through a mountain of broken concrete.

Talking of concrete ...

15.4 cuyds ! Can't imagine what sort of tank base are you making - unless it's ...

LOL, I’m with you, Eric
I guess a bit of explanation is in order.

Originally I just needed to enlarge the existing pad to accommodate the tanks, by adding 18”x 80” new in back of tractor shed. Wife said, just don’t know why we didn’t concrete the whole back when we did it last time. An area about 36’x12’ that we did about 2/3, leaving middle gravel that kinda collects things. We did that ourselves, mixing in my little electric mixer that may have seen its last bag and no way I’m doing this one. Mixing, screeding, floating concrete no longer on my list of favorite things to do.
So I tell her if we are getting George then have to do larger area as I don’t want to pay for a whole truck just to do 2+ yards. She agreed and I added in the area for my proposed caretaker studio bringing up to about 8.1 cuyds. This also added a nice spot for my buckets and pallet forks.
She inspected my proposal and offered her modifications bringing it to 15.4. When I objected by saying I only wanted to get a single truck, she countered, fine, you get one, and I’ll get one. I knew further resistance was futile.
Naturally, I’ll post pics.

I just remembered, that I have not 1, but 2 of wroughtnharv's TBN silhouette stones. Thanks to Don, for donating it to me. And thanks to Harvey who made them and gladly gave them as gifts to us. I have them as steps at each end of my barn's sidewalk.

I've only got one, but I do have that by the front sidewalk.

I have the same one as Bird and Kyle. Plus the one made from cedar at Eddies place. Harvey and the crew made branding iron as
part of the get together. I found out I did not like Okra even though it was dipped in my favorite Drake Batter. Boy time does fly.
