headed out with a couple bags of recycling, then home to do a little powerwashing of machinery, then
will run some rv antifreeze through the powerwasher. I might use it again after all the leaf blowing is done.
RV antifreeze is cheap compared to the little powerwasher kits you buy with small aerosol cans of antifreeze.
I've tried them, about triple the cost of plain rv antifreeze.

My only concern would be if the aerosol kits have some lubricating ingredient not found in rv antifreeze.
How important is adding extra lube to a 4000 psi pressure pump? Designed of course to run on water, but does
it like a little something extra once in a while? Honda GX390 with Cat pump ?

As the marketers know, I'll likely buy the expensive kit for the expensive pump and let the cheap electric pressure washer I have suck
up some blue rv antifreeze, which it seems to be happy with. That is out on loan to a flood victim, always marvel when it returns still running.
I've burned up a bunch of cheap pressurewashers, this electric one is by AR, the pump company, and so far it has lasted four years, much of it loaned out. I like to use the lower pressure washer on my equipment and only use the high power one when it's really needed. The 4000psi one will peel labels off easily if I'm not careful.

I've always drooled over that Northern Tools pressure washer that's built into the wall, runs off electric, and looks super easy to use.
Doesn't work here because my barn is not heated, though I suppose I could run antifreeze through it also. Otherwise it always seems like I'm unraveling cords that immediately kink on me no matter how carefully I put them away. It becomes a production just using the thing.
I seem doomed every time I look at a garden hose. Kinkfree? not for me. And I use a lot of hose here...which means I spend a fair amount of my life unraveling hoses, saying unkind things about them all the way.

Ultimately I'd like a pressure washer hose on a big reel, with an electric rewind.
Not this Christmas. I already overloaded Santa.

time to go. "rush hour" is now over.

Want to sell me all kinds of medical stuff. You have 1 day to pay a court fine. Stuff like that.

Yep, I get those, too. And then there are the calls that are not technically a scam, such as calls requesting donations for your local police officers association or sheriff's association. All the checking I've done indicates that the MOST that any of those groups gets is 25% and frequently even less. I wish those groups would not allow their name to be used by such fund raising companies.

It was 11° for the low this morning. It looks like the high will be in the mid 30's with party cloudy skies and some wind.

We made it back from the hunt late yesterday afternoon. We seen a few elk but on one got anything. We seen a lot of deer and moose but very few elk. The weather for most of the week was snow showers and 30 mph plus winds. With temperatures in the low teens in the mornings and not getting out of the 30's in the afternoons.Had a few minor problems but nothing major. We ate well and told a lot of stories. Everyone had a good time, they are going to try and come back next year.

Today will be spent putting cleaning things and putting them away. That may take more then a day.

I need to go back and see what I missed the last week.

Hope everyone has a good nice day.
CWB.

34°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 44° today. Light rain this evening is supposed to change over to snow overnight. No accumulation expected. Ground here is still too warm for that.

Wife spent the day yesterday cleaning out the garage. She got all of our donation stuff loaded into a rented U-Haul van and took it to the facility in St. Louis run by a friend we went to high school with. She's a local homeless advocate, and has a small warehouse in STL County where donations are processed. They were thrilled to be getting stuff like kitchen and bedroom furniture, as well as tents and sleeping bags we no longer use. We were thrilled to be regaining some space. One more pile of stuff for me to go through, and a few shelving units of stuff to go back to storage, and we'll likely be parking in the garage once again this weekend. That'll be nice, and just in time for the arrival of winter weather.

I feel your pain, Randy. My Mother had to be in a care facility for her last few months back in late-2010/early-2011. It's tough to endure, but sometimes just necessary. Most of us don't have the skills or training to give them the care they need. I know my Mother was getting top-notch care where she was. That knowledge did make it a little easier. As RNG said, try to enjoy the time you still have with her. Even though it's not ideal circumstances, it's still precious time that you get to be there for her.

I'm with you, Bill. I've never gotten the flu shot, and have no plans to start now. I'm reasonably certain that I have a better chance of catching a fatal stray bullet at work than catching a fatal case of the flu. I could be wrong, but then again no one gets to live forever. Part of the beauty of life is its impermanence. That's why we cherish a real rose bloom over a silk one.

REgarding scams. Last summer twice on my work phone I had a call from a foreign sounding guy telling me he was from the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) and that due to an error on my income tax I owed them (CRA) a ton of money. I wasn't in the greatest frame of mind that day, so I told him that I had a news flash for him. He tried to talk over me, but I wasn't having any of that. He tried ramming down my throat that he would call the cops on me and I would be arrested and sent to jail. LOL I told him in no uncertain terms that the CRA does NOT phone people, that they send a letter first. Finally to get him off the line I told him to do his worst, that I would welcome the cops with open arms and would get some free room and board out of it at the expense of the Canadian Government and hung up.
I have yet to see the cops here over it and I am not expecting them.

63° this morning and forecast is on 70° for high today. We've got a couple of cold fronts heading our way and may see overnight temps in the 30's next week. It got to 89° yesterday and "feels like" was 93°.

We've gotten a couple of calls, in last few months, claiming to be IRS demanding immediate payment before having me arrested. I let unknown numbers just go to voice mail. I notified IRS both times and let them know I had phone #s and voice mail recordings. No response whatsoever either time. Big surprise?

I saw these on Northern Tool and wondered if they might be helpful to store 3-point implements on and could they ease hookup?

https://www.northerntool.com/shop/t...tm_medium=110818_BSOTY&cid=3556&mid=273854189

If the casters are decent, they're worth $22. They're only 2 1/2" but all my implements are on concrete. Might not work well on dirt?

I built a base, of PT 2x6's to store my 3-point log splitter on and may order a set of these roller to put under the splitter. Might allow me to store it, out of the way, easier.

Might also be handy to store my snow blower and my snow mobile on as well? Oh ..... wait a minute. Don't have either one of those.

I’ve been getting those anticipatory calls lately. I answer, they say “don’t hang up” so i do so immediately.

Doctor visit was ok. But he thinks I should have more motion than I currently have. I think some of of these doctors forget that I am 76 years old. Even though I look like I am in my 60's. He says I will have to spend more time in PT to make up for not have having enough motion. That's ok with me. The ladies at PT are better looking than he is.
