Good morning all, 53 going to 68 with an 80% chance of rain today. Was paid a very high honor today, an honor that brave men and women gave their lives for, the honor and privilege of voting. Thanks to all of you that served our country so we could vote today. Got there 10 min before they opened and was 15th in line. Lot of people voting.

Buppies, Thanks for the story.

Drew, praying you have peace with your tractor choice.

Prayers sent and have a great day. Ed

Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 4:45AM. Sunny. High near 75F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

I'd vote for DST all year long as well, Ron!

Today's election day! Vote early, and vote often! I'm just glad all the political junk will stop clogging up the mailbox. Soon to be replaced with bloated Christmas catalogs, no doubt...:duh:

Finished the side stand on the old BMW yesterday, but it took cutting it into three pieces, then trying multiple times to tack weld each piece into just the right place while I held it with the off hand and hoped not to catch anything on fire. I got even more practice at grinding as well, not sure I'm getting much better at welding, though.

I guess the only way to get that hour of daylight back at the end of the day is to start getting up an hour earlier. But it gets light later each morning, too, so I'm not sure that's gonna work out so well:confused2:

I hope to finish the rolling railing top on the fence project today...

The missing (since Friday) Fedex package mysteriously appeared on my porch Sunday evening. Fedex delivery is closed on Sunday and denied any involvement. I'm guessing it was mis-delivered to a different house and this is a good neighborhood for honesty.

Ever thought of installing a couple of cameras to help you keep an eye on things, Don?

48°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 58° today. Heard a voice on the radio this morning suggest we might get a touch of snow in the some parts of the area Thursday overnight.

Ruger does indeed make some nice firearms, Hawkeye. The New Vaquero in .357 has been high on my want list for some time. Rented one at a local range a couple of years ago and really liked it.

RNG, I recall hearing something along the lines of "You're either a welder or a grinder." The way I weld, I'm definitely the latter.

I don't like the bike tube valve stems you have to unscrew. I have both types on my bike, cause i replaced one....

I致e seen two cougars here on the Eastern Shore in the 45 years living here, had a second witness both times. One was about 1979 near Delmar at night but in the open and my late wife saw it as well. The second was broad daylight between Pocomoke City and Westover, around 11 am. Both were absolutely no brainer, no chance of mistaken identity. But they have been seen on Chincoteague Island multiple times, as well as many other locations. They are the worst kept wildlife secret here.

That reminds me, Dad's neighbor's son claims he saw a mountain lion. They dont even have bears there, which would be more likely.

Up to 69 and headed to 76 they say, overcast and breezy right now. Getting ready to go vote in a few minutes. Ellen went early, she was still registered in Delaware so she ran up to Delmar early. I need to mow the wild onions one more time when it gets dry again.
Ellen’s dad has invited me to go with him Sunday to a tractor drive, I guess that’s my official welcome into the family.
Have a good day all, God bless.

Hawkeye, which model? Me likey rugers (and many others). :)
...

LCR9 (9mm 5 shot, striker fire, no hammer to snag).. wife is wanting a revolver to carry, going to local gun shop/range is good idea, salesman (woman actually) said the same thing yesterday, try several at range to make sure you like it.

74° and very overcast this morning. Forecast is for 84° this afternoon with increasing rain chances next three days. Cold front expected a Friday with highs in the 50's.

Yard and pastures still squishy, from recent rains, so no mowing for now. I did get about 1/2 of windows on backside of the house cleaned yesterday but, ran out of daylight early. Hope to finish today then front side windows tomorrow.

I really don't care if time stays at standard time or daylight time .... just wish we'd stop changing. DLST had value 100 years ago, for farmers, but I see no valid reason for changing today.

Hoping everyone has an excellent day today and, if you didn't vote early, you get to your polling places today. It's IMPORTANT.

Prayers to all.

P.S. If Drew would just go ahead and win the Lottery ...... he could achieve his goal of one tractor / implement. He could also hire a tractor valet to bring up the "tractor dejour".

The valet would be needed. With a barn that big, no one would want to walk all that way.

Happy Election Day VOTE

68° and .37 inches rain.

Have to vote this morning

Annual eye appointment this morning. If dilated that pretty much ruins rest of my day as far as doing anything productive.

Seems if I am to get diesel delivery I have to get some low hanging trees cleared down the road. Not sure if on county property or private, no houses that side and can’t really tell from tax map. Research.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning. At 1010 it's cloudy, 80F with 82% humidity. Forecast high low of 80/68F with 40% chance of thunderstorms. We did drive though a light sprinkle on the way back from voting. Margie has a lunch date, and I'll be going into work a little early since the Civic Center is now a polling place. Give the boss a couple hours head start on her 5 o'clock somewhere.

Drew, we are waiting almost patiently for your tractor decision.

How nice...and you won't have to wait longer. :dance1:
Got a nice package deal on a MF 4707 with 6 foot reverse rotation rototiller and a 6 foot bush hog.
Two conveniences sold me, I could get the glass roof and buddy seat at a price I could afford, and couldn't do that
in the JD. Otherwise the tractors were 7 hundred bucks apart. I decided on the larger one since I bought too small last time.
It will be my Christmas present. Coming in by truck from another dealer, probably get it next week.

I had a .357 Magnum New Vaquero with a 5.5" barrel...nice gun with a fake case hardened finish (which I do NOT recommend) ....but I always liked short barreled revolvers and I wanted a birds head grip so I sold the New Vaquero and bought another one (also .357 Magnum)

Personally, I prefer stainless steel guns.
This new one is a fun gun...a bit more muzzle flip due to the shorter barrel.

Very nice Drew. You'll be happy with the extra weight and HP.
