Rick we have been using Walmart’s service since it began no produce or meat though. Saves time works very well. Fresh Market for produce local meat market for meats

Love Fresh Market as well, just a bit farther to drive for us. Actually just ordered a fresh turkey from them online, 20 plus lbs. I would love to know where you go for your "local" meats, as we haven't found a good source for beef and pork. Thanks

We have that service available at all major stores in our area. Wife has not bought into it yet. Going grocery shopping is one of the few things she does outside the house. When she decides that she cannot do it anymore. I will probably use one of the services that delivers. Sams clubs has just started delivery. Also Kroger.

Same with my wife... says she'd rather pick out her "own" groceries. When I'm on the road for weeks at a time, I order online and have it delivered right to the motel or apt. Can't beat it...

All this progress...
And yet I remember as a kid the milkman, I think just about everyone we knew had milk delivery, just like the newspaper boy. Entenmann’s bakery trucks is one i remember that came around more at reasonable hours. The locally owned grocery store had delivery but you could also pick up. Must have been an upcharge as I remember my parents questioning why people would do that. Must have been popular as I have memories of often seeing one of the owner’s daughters (Doris, and at least 2 or 3 times my age) pleasantly gathering orders as we shopped.

It is a pick up service, not delivery, and as stated, other than oranges, lemons or such, we don稚 get produce through them. We do our meat shopping about once a month, and produce as needed. It saves us a couple of hours a week.

I'm interested in that Service Randy. I'm ok with them picking out package items but what about produce? I like picking out my own. How's produce worked for you!

I’m trying to stop Whipper from jumping the 4’ fence. I put a wire and a pvc in pvc to act as a roller. See pic.

The question I have is should the roller be on the inside or outside edge? IMG_2449.JPG

Assuming you want him deflected back into yard I’d say inside
Of course, you could do both

Try it that way and see how she does. Worst case you'll end up fabricating brackets so the roller hangs back into the yard like those barbed wire toppers you see around prison yards. Then you'll need something to fill in the space between the roller and the fence top. Maybe a strand or two of electric fence?

Don, do I remember you saying something about Invisible Fence? Maybe a strand of that along the top as well?

The invisible fence has to be in a loop with wires 4 feet apart. The wire would go on the top rail and one in the ground at the base. The wire would have to go to the garage for an enclosed area for the controller. Whipper would have to be trained to respect the "flags" and wear a pronged color that should not be on more than 12 hours a day or skin problems will occur. The color batteries also need replacing. I'm trying to keep it less technical and simple but It will be used if this fails.

Gray two went on an adventure today but I saw his escape and was hot on his trail. We were both running across the back yard, along the side yard into the neighbors front yard, back along the side yard, and across the back yard and he stopped on a chair on our patio - that rascal.

My daughter in law is the comptroller of a software company in NOVA, she sells Little Jeepers clothing for kids and in her spare time she and my son, who is a systems engineer with 3Phoenix and operates an aerial photography business, does professional photography and makes cakes for people. I found this to be among the coolest.

"I can't count the number of times I've put something away in a "safe" place where I would be sure to find it again, and you know what happens when I go lookin' for it...:confused2:"

Murphy's Law of Lost Things #137 states that any "missing / lost" item will magically appear within minutes of you returning from buying its replacement. The more expensive the item ..... the faster it appears.

Since I have been picking through all the stuff in the sheds, I've found things I had forgot I'd even bought. Several times.

Good evening. I walked and camped last night. Did a few miles after I dropped off most of my gear at the campsite. {slackpacking} Was cool, but I was fine as long as I was walking. But when I got back to camp, I just about froze. Heavy dew, so my socks were soaked, and I hadn't brought a sleep pair. Also had brought a light sleeping bag. I lay there and shivered for an hour or two, then walked the mile home and got more gear out of my truck. Slept from 3-7 or 4-8 I guess.

I went in to work today for a couple hours. We are going to be a SNAP sight, and though they said they didn't need in the building, I've missed three weeks work, so I figured what could it hurt. It turns out they came in yesterday and got it all setup. But I still made a couple hours.

At 2020 it's cloudy, 64F with 10% chance of rain. I'm heading out for a walk now. Well, as soon as I decide which too small wool sweater I'm going to wear. This is a bad time of the month for night hiking. Moon is only 11% illuminated, and doesn't rise until 0144. I don't use a headlamp if there is any starlight at all. I have been erring on the side of caution though when there is possible debris.

Larro, I asked my wife what she thought about the plastic Egglette doodads, advertised on TV to make hard boiled eggs, last weekend at the ranch. She started laughing and took me to our walk-in pantry and pulled a box off the shelf. Whuuuu?

Neither of us remember buying / ordering them? Guess who'll be having some hard boiled eggs this week?

This guy!

Good evening all. 47F for the start, partly cloudy sky, calm wind. Light wind day, sky stayed mostly clear with high thin clouds and high temp of 64F. Chapel this morning, meal deliveries, then went for bike ride instead of a nap. Wife's birthday coming up this week and some family coming in to celebrate. That and rain forecast for Wednesday or Thursday figured I need to get my rides in when I can.
Randy, cool cake. Is that really eatable?
Wife announced she has a hankering for deviled eggs, no egglettes here, so I get to peel :)
Don good luck with the Whipper containment :D
Prayers for all.

Good morning all, 46 going to 57 with a 90-30% chance of rain. We got 3/10's over night. Did a lot of house stuff yesterday, don't know about today.

Randy, wife used to teach cake decorating at Michel's, Is that fondant? What ever it is I like it.

Don, friend had a dog that reminds me of Whipper, I very quickly learned that the shock of the invisible fence was short lived and then he was free. Just made him run faster. I would have put the roller on top of the fence so Whipper could not grip the top rail. :2cents:

Prayers sent, have a great day. Ed
