26F now mid 40 for high clear sky.

Hard frost over night which should end the growing season.
Yesterday winds were hand handful at times trying to clean leaves from ditches  windchill in low 20's teens w/flurries dancing in the air kept good working pace.
After work blow section of leaves or cut clean up spruce tree....hmmm
Dang turkeys getting little to close for my liking now.
E muffin feed little critters slow roll to work.

Enjoy the day all.

30 going to 60. Wind finally died. Took the dogs out at 3am with bright moon shining off the frost.

Happy Birthday, Buckeye! Take the day off!

Hope Ellen wakes up new, refreshed, and hungry, with no headache...probably I-81 gave her the headache...beautiful stretch of Interstate highway, but too crowded most days. Hope the tree colors are good as you drive through the Smokies and traffic is better.

Ed, better get dressed today :).

The dogs are getting along great. They are quite competitive over the tennis balls and frisbees. Goose is old, so Coco is much faster and more nimble...but sometimes I do short throws and she overruns, letting Goose get a turn. Problem is his mission is always to "pop" the tennis balls with his teeth, which he does in a flash.

Pruned the bushes (always think of the 3 Amigos when I say that) yesterday, and hiked the dogs.

After this things supposed to settle down some weather wise leading to milder conditions thru mid December if my crystal ball is correct. After that that big door might close and lots of snow and ice may be in store

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 31° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 57° with mostly sunny skies. Spent time yesterday searching for item on Facebook marketplace. Found a new Drill Doctor 750X for a good price and 2 stools for the kitchen island. For when we have a couple of extra people. Was a nice day to drive and pick them up. No plans for today other than figure out how to use Drill Doctor.

Randy, hope Ellen is feeling better.

Kyle, I can understand your neighbors heat problem. My mother would pass out anytime she was outside and temperature was over 85°.

Roy, take care of that cold. Lot of chicken soup.

Drew, daylight saving change is coming soon. That's when I change batteries.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, thanks for the well wishes. Ellen is better, slight headache, was a migraine for sure, sensitivities to light, smells, etc... First one in over thirty years she says. I am not messing around, the next one lands her in the specialists office.

Going to hit Black Dig Salvage after breakfast and head to Gatlinburg if plans hold up.

Have a good day

31 going to a high of 45F. Wind S 8 mph. 60% chance of showers.

I got the hoe into the shelter yesterday and promptly dropped it 2' short of the back wall. I will fix that today. The hoe and the M101 army trailer WILL fit on the one side, along with the trike and the lawn sweeper, but the Jeep will NOT fit beside them. I am going to see if I can shove the hoe back the extra 2', then drop the trailer closer to the side wall, (currently it is about a foot away from it), and that may give me the necessary space to put the Jeep and still close the door. If not, then the Jeep will just have to live outside.

A dump run yesterday cleaned up a lot of junk that was just making the place look messy.

A town run is in order for today. Culligan water softener needs salt and they wont be here until 7 November and if the weather is anything like last year they wont show up for a month after that. 10 snowflakes hit the ground and stuck so they cancelled me, but didn't bother to call.
I need to pick up another remote Christmas light controller (I use them for the block heaters) for the Dodge block heater. The french press I ordered last month is in and I need one more 3" lag screw for the new shelter. I also have to pick up 2 scripts for the DIL.

buckeye, Happy Birthday!

For those that got colds, mine started in my head, moved to my chest then up to my sinuses and now it is just in my chest. Hoping it vacates soon. A cold usually takes about 10-14 days to 'run its course' and mine is coming up on 14 days now.

Have a good day all

NWS says it's 46 degrees going for 66 and supposed to be another beautiful, sunny day today and tomorrow, then more rain. Today is the first day of early voting. Got to take the wife to a doctor visit this morning, then we'll stop and vote on the way home.

And Buckeyefarmer, I'll add my wishes for you to have a great birthday.

Good morning ALL!!

Ron, good luck with the drill doctor. Ours does not work all that well. The "timing" is off and it doesn't give proper relief behind the cutting edge. I fiddled with it, and only use it in a last ditch effort.

Hope your cold goes away L4N.

Roy, hope your cold isn't too bad. At least you're home and not travelling.

My mom and sister flew to the Cherokee eastern reservation for a stay near the Tenn/N. Carolina border.

Going to early vote.

Austin Texas has a boil water notice due to the floods having so much silt in the water. Don, does this affect you 2? I know Cedar Park gets it's water from Lake Travis.

Kyle, Georgetown in on the edge of the Brazos river basin not the Colorado river basin and we get our water from the San Gabriel rivers. So no it does not affect us.

Kyle, I know how to hand sharpen drills. One of my first jobs was as job setter for a production shop. Found that sharpening drill with a fixture took to long. Used a drill point gauge. But now it is getting harder to read the lines on gauge. Hope the one I bought works good.

That is odd, I get my water from a 176' deep well.
