Ron, good luck with arm. I never had my right arm repaired and I’m at about 70 % of normal use.

Went to doc for this sinus business this afternoon, now I have to get a blood test for some kind of condition I never heard of. Temporal Arteritis. Always something.

Giant Cell Arteritis. Just reading the name gives me a headache. Hope the test is negative.

My friend is having problem with balance, an inner ear thing and it's bothering him. Need to make sure he is ok climbing up on tractors no matter how much he wants to. We've been friends since 9th grade...
.
I was diagnosed with Meniere's disease a few years ago. My problems is what feels like pressure and ringing in ear. No problems with balance yet. Tell your friend to be careful.
Limiting salt intake is the first course for reducing symptons. Lots of walking.

Good morning! 75˚ heading to 100˚ lots of sun. The heat has not slowed down the golfers, yesterday was a constant flow entertaining Whipper. I came close to getting a few more balls for my collection jar but these were mostly resident golfers and were pretty good. My best chance for extra balls is from the very amateur weekend golfers.

Yesterday Gray2 escaped under my watchful eye. Now we are both grounded. The neighbor had to be called before I went into their back yard and retrieved Gray2 from their outdoor kitchen.

Randy and Ron take care of your selfs. Ron get some help with that Island. Randy I had to look that up - what is the treatment?

Last Bocce Ball class today then the tournaments start. I don't know how active I'll be, it seems like kind of slow sport, like horseshoes. It's a good game to play with guest.

Had a guy complaining on a neighborhood forum about the HOA telling him his backyard Arbor was illegal. He was asking for anyones help on how to get an arbor approved. I have no sympathy for him the rules are available to all before you buy here and you must sign that you will abide by them at closing. For the people that can't read or think the rules do not apply to them they need to move to a place without HOA. (just looking at his picture he put online it looks like he did not 1. get approval and 2. put it within 5 ft of property line. He would probably be happy with neighbors that have junk cars and orange houses with their kids mobile homes in the front yard. The Community Standards guy is given a camera and a car and inspects each of the 80 little neighborhoods in this mega 6 square mile neighborhood. They have been doing a very good job the neighborhood looks very good after 20 years and still building more houses and Amenity centers. The building should continue for another 7-10 years before they have built on all the land they have bought.

RNG ask the guy that's moving to an HOA neighborhood if he has read the rules/restrictions? The Closing company said that 99% of the people do not read them when I asked at closing and asking some of the neighbors around here they only read the part that apply when they want to add or change something.

There are 50 things that you can do to you house and yard that don't require approval, the rest must be submitted for approval. Looking at all the remodeling, patio additions etc. it does not seem to be too hard to get approval.

72 outside this AM. Nie and foggy, humidity. Heading to mid 80's. Suppose to rain. Yesterday all it did was get dark.

The dealer had called me and said my mower would be coming back later yesterday. No mower, no call. Unreal.

Hope all have a great day and good start to the holiday weekend.

Enjoy, and be safe.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Feeling good this morning, as i do most mornings, then after lunch it goes downhill, and spend the afternoon in the bathroom.....

Last night felt somewhat better, so i started mowing, and when wife came out and flagged me down for supper, i kept mowing cause it looked like rain. ( we did get light rain this morning).

At least yard is mowed. Tonight is clean more of garage. Trim grass tomorrow morning.

Don, i hope to never ever again to live in a house with a HOA. Once was enough.

Drew, your story reminds me of the time me and a coworker went to Germany, and took a carburetor for a guy who had taken a big US truck over there. Apparently carburetor didnt translate very well at customs, because they couldnt figure out what it was. Eventually they determined it was a pump.....

But bolting one to the locker, nice!!! Lol

They probably think of Venezuela....where things really "went south"

Theres an Alabama song, when it all goes south.

"When it all goes south
You'll be drivin around on a john deere tractor
When it all goes south
Wearing baseball caps but they wont be backwards"

Why? Did you not know the rules or did they change them? I don’t understand why anyone would complain if the rules are made available before buying. The neighborhood looks good enough to make you want to buy there for a reason and it’s not because everyone has inherently good taste and is very neat.

Just think of TBN letting Fp run wild through all the forums, people need guidelines and rules.

68°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 85° today.

Last work day this week, then a five day weekend. Unlike Roy, I do have particular plans; going to finally build that deck off the sunroom. Not complicated, but decent size. Should be an adventure.

Sounds like it might be time to shop for a new mower mechanic, rip. Just make sure the new guy doesn't claim to be into VW restorations.

Speaking of vehicles, we finally got rid of the boy's old Honda Accord that he drove into a flood last summer. Wife got him to sign over the title, and called a service that advertises the car and promises to buy it if it doesn't sell. It didn't, so they showed up with a flatbed tow truck on Wednesday, handed her a check for $120, and away it went. Good riddance.

I have never had the "fortune" to live in a place with a home owners association telling me what I can and cannot do. While I understand their purpose, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't tolerate someone else telling me what I can and can't do on my own property. I know that happens to some extent pretty much everywhere, but many HOAs seem particularly finicky about seemingly trivial things.
