No rain here, did get dark some, like it might, but then cleared off again.
Left work a little early, wasnt feeling good. But when i got home, decided to start mowing. Ended up mowing all the yard including down along the creek, which hadnt been mowed for a month probably. Really tall along creek. Lots of spider webs, ate a bunch of those.

And found out why the mini excavator was at the corner of property last week. Across the road they put a huge concrete base for a sign. I guess a warning sign for the curve, where trucks keep rolling. From the size, might be a sign that goes out above the road. Huge concrete base with anchor bolts. They already have signs along the road, dont expect this to change things. I hope they dont put flashing lights on it, although is before my house. Hope im wrong on a big sign, but cant imagine anything else.

I believe I can see the thunderheads from your storm out to the west since they are so high...but not a drop here. Hope no floods out your way.

No flood that I know of. Was a lot pretty quick though, don't think it rained but about 1 hr and we got 2 1/2 in. Ed

Good morning to all! (Evening actually). Low of 52 this morning, could really smell the increase in humidity. The high hit 92. The weather guessers are now calling for increased chances (50-60%) of showers for the next 5 days! The high temps drop to the low 80's tomorrow, then low 70's for the next week! WOO-HOO!

Drew, enjoy your guests, take some relaxing time....you really deserve it.

BEF, I hope you are able to get over your 'feeling ill' quickly. Anesthesia can wreak havoc on one's body, some affected more, some less. After my surgery this past April, for about 2 weeks, I became severely depressed. There was no reason for it to occur. This has never happened before....always been 'the rock'. The anesthesia was the only possible cause.

RIP, I hope your mower is fixed and operates better than expected!

Ron, sorry to hear that your arm is going to require surgery. At least you now 'know' what the problem is and that there is a plan in place to correct it. Take it easy for now. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery.

Farmer, sounds like a busy day. Hope the kids enjoy their ride this evening. Enjoy every minute you can with them!

I have been teaching an 'Advanced medical life support' class at work for the past 2 days. Tommorow is the last and final day of some lecture in the morning, then give them the final written test and scenario testing. Maybe get out a little early... Something to hope for, always nice on the last day of work.

Hope everyone has a great Friday! Prayers out for those needing.

Good evening all. 78F for the start, clear calm. Light wind day toady, was supposed to go to town to shop, did not happen. Did play couple's golf this afternoon :confused2:
Buckeye, sorry to hear you are still having issues, couple days is long time for anesthesia to hang around.
Ron hope and pray surgery works for you.
PJ, don't think I ever hit 2 1/2 hours going in, but did top 4 hours a couple of time because of snow going home.
Prayers for all

So what do southerners think of the expression, "when things go south"? Lol

They probably think of Venezuela....where things really "went south"

Been kind of a rough week, haven't been feeling great all week. Some may be affects of my anesthesia last week, working it's way thru my system.

Chance of rain starting today. Need to mow for my monday picnic, but not too early.. Or mow twice, now and monday.
Garage needs more cleaning, which means move stuff to barn.
Grill needs cleaning.
Trimming needs done.

Maybe this will be my last one..

Prayers for feeling better BEF. Take it easy.....just read that you mowed a lot....hope you're a bit better day by day.

Back from doctors. Kind of what I expected. 2 torn biceps tendons. The word doctor used was ruptured. Surgery scheduled for October. Going to be a long fall and winter.

Ron, Sorry about the news on your tendons. Hope they get you patched up good as new. Note to self: For mandated physical therapy prior to further diagnostic procedures, don't wear out the problem part trying to rehab it...maybe a 12oz curl or three.

A pleasant start to the day here with plenty of sunshine and a high heading to somewhere around 19C/66F. The thistles that have regrown are starting to come into flower - a good excuse to suspend all other jobs while I go out with the tractor and topper.

Still have the drill bit stuck in the chuck, although did get the locking ring free to rotate to the open position. It was too good a day to waste time inside on something that can wait for another day.

Ron, in a way that's good news. October is not that far away, after that each day you will be on the road to recovery instead of unresolved pain. In the meantime you can practise typing with your arm in a sling :)
