My wonderful wife finished canning the 80lbs of peaches we bought this week. That makes 160lbs total this year of peaches. Some jam and cobbler (frozen gallon bag ready to make cobbler), the rest canned peaches..
Our daughter that bought land this spring texted and offered to cook dinner for us if we went out to the property. She wanted to show us their progress. They are waiting for Avista (local power company) to energize now (pull transformer to transformer cable, transformer to meter cable and meter. Then they will have power and not have to run generator daily to charge trailer batteries and run AC to cool trailer.
Yummm, peach preserves over a hot biscuit....
Sounds like getting power will be a blessing for them. Keeping generators going can be a real PITA.
Just got back from the kubota dealer in Lagrange. They are hiring. Need 3 people. Sales, parts, and service tech. There may be only 2 people running the show, not sure, but that's all I saw. Don, you moved away too soon. You and the wifey could have car pooled down to work.
