My wonderful wife finished canning the 80lbs of peaches we bought this week. That makes 160lbs total this year of peaches. Some jam and cobbler (frozen gallon bag ready to make cobbler), the rest canned peaches..

Our daughter that bought land this spring texted and offered to cook dinner for us if we went out to the property. She wanted to show us their progress. They are waiting for Avista (local power company) to energize now (pull transformer to transformer cable, transformer to meter cable and meter. Then they will have power and not have to run generator daily to charge trailer batteries and run AC to cool trailer.

Yummm, peach preserves over a hot biscuit....

Sounds like getting power will be a blessing for them. Keeping generators going can be a real PITA.

Just got back from the kubota dealer in Lagrange. They are hiring. Need 3 people. Sales, parts, and service tech. There may be only 2 people running the show, not sure, but that's all I saw. Don, you moved away too soon. You and the wifey could have car pooled down to work. :) Does your new neighborhood offer a tractor mechanics course?

70°F and another 9.4 inches rain last 24 hours. Raining cats and dogs. Lane alongside west side of the island. We are safe and snug here, just wet. Too much clouds, lack of sun, but generator doing great job so no loss of power. TV news shows lots of flooding on our island and rest of state in hyper vigilance braced for impact today and tomorrow. but we are blessed.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

My day will be pretty much inside

What's my longest project? Well, the house isn't finished, it's been 21 yrs. Still have my punchlist hanging on the fridge, of things to finish.

54° was really nice last night. After regaining my eyesight from the dilation, was able to mow some more, up till too dark to see. Grass really wet and clogged bad under the deck.

Today is outpatient surgery. A little redo from last falls surgery. Hope it goes well, pretty nervous because they are putting me under.

House was gonna be my answer as well, 13 years not counting planning and prebuild admin stuff.

Good luck at Dr.

Kyle, the peaches are magnificent. Wife and I shared one after dinner last night. The tree we've been getting them from is giving us white peaches.

Many years ago, a friend bought a house in a Dallas suburb that had a peach tree in the yard. That first year they were there, that tree produced some large white peaches, only time I'v seen such, and they were delicious. But the next year the tree died.

And twice in the last week, I've bought just a few peaches from the Denton, TX, 3 day a week Farmers Market, that I think are the largest peaches I've ever seen; had to weigh some to see; 3/4 pound each. Free stone and delicious.

Hope it went well and you're not too groggy.

A friend of mine, that owns a catering/food truck and pop up restaurant business, was open for lunch today. Went down and had a big old prime rib burger, homemade marinated pasta salad and some boardwalk fries. Man, that was delicious! Every now and again something just hits the spot.
