I like the plexiglass extensions, hawkeye08. May have to show that photo to The Wife.

Here is The Wife's sewing room. Left to right: her main Singer sewing machine, the serger (under cover), and the embroidery machine (under cover).

Her quilter is a Baby Lock Crown Jewel III, aptly named if you judge by price. It was in the old living room (before the remodel) in this picture, but now resides downstairs in what used to be the basement kitchen area. At 10' long, it takes up a bit of space.

Very nice PJS, it is nice to see couples supporting each others interests. My wife wanted a long arm for home a few years back, but decided that we really don't have room for one right now and she likes renting time on one..

Yeah, we decided when we were going to remodel the house to build in space for things we like to do. She loves sewing and quilting, so we converted one upstairs bedroom into her sewing room, and designated a spot downstairs for the quilter. She used to pay one of her aunts to quilt her tops for her on her machine, but decided it would be easier to get her own. She really loves it. Once the top is complete, she can get a full size quilted in about four hours, including setup time. She sells most of her work, so it's slowly paying for itself.

We converted one bedroom in the basement to my home recording studio.

Neither of us are über-spendy, and we're both kind of hermits anyway, so it's working out great.

Seems like all of you guys are supportive of your wives.

Several of you and/or your wives sure do some beautiful work with needles and thread, with or without a sewing machine.

And my sewing room is the kitchen table. I was going to show these to my wife, but it might get too expensive if i do.
