Good morning!!!!

Today's low was 45*, yesterday high was in the mid 80's and not a cloud in the sky. Today is looking to be about the same, they show a 20% chance of rain later in the week.

daugen ... Nice car, maybe a road trip to California to see if you really like it.

Cut some willows a long a fence line and got them stacked up yesterday. I'll move them to the burn pile when we get back from town later.

Hope everyone enjoys your day.
CWB.

".....Bird, it's always heartwarming to read stories like that one about your neighbor. Good to know your community recognizes his need and accommodates him. That's how it's supposed to work."- PJS

I agree. I wish that their were more news stories like this, and there are; but + news does not help the news agencies' media ratings. Image the power of "copycat" do gooders.

A warmer, more humid start to today's activities than the past two AM's. Today is probably the last dry day that I will see for awhile and my string trimmer/weed whacker is still in the shop.

I hope everyone has a manageable day.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Nice looking car, Drew.
Last couple deals, I would just show up with a preapproved draft from my credit union.

while rain constantly threatened, I got almost all the lawn mowing done, at least it was cloudy and cooler out. Had to use the JD, the rear facing mower on the Kubota clumps badly in wet grass.
Cleaned out garage enough to get new car in. Picked veggies. Took a shower and done for the day.

thanks, yes, whole idea of car is cross country road trip. Subaru traded in for KBB wholesale.

Nice looking car Drew, Audi doesn’t seem to stand apart style wise as much as they use to, which isn’t a bad thing necessarily. And they’ve gone to that same fish mouth grill that is so popular now, all the Toyotas have it and most others. Pontiac started that in GXP models about 13 years ago and it’s really caught on. Like the color!

82 today. Cooler tomorrow.

Chickens start leaving tomorrow.

Haying operation went good last week. One guy did fall off wagon and hit head on ground. But he’s doing fine. Stepped in a hole in the hay. Luckily it was on the bottom run.

First thing I hear is my cpap machine hissing as it’s usually leaking when I get up every morning.

Nice car Drew.

Still waiting on truck. Will probably call about it when I get done getting my allergy shots. Im on my 30 minute wait.

Spent day hanging stuff up for my wife at school. They go back next week.

You mean to tell me a cpap machine makes a sound? I've never heard one make a sound of any kind. Of course, I take my hearing aids out before I go to bed and put the cpap mask on, and I don't put them back in until I get up in the morning.

while cooling off from waxing part of the car in the hot garage, carnauba by hand,
I watched a fun and unknown to me part of NC WWII naval history
One smart and brave Coast Guard captain
1942 USCG Icarus versus U-352 in torpedo alley, Updated episode - YouTube

the enemy really was right off our shore. My uncle, who I was named for, was a young
merchant mariner on a fuel tanker going up and down the coast. Family was worried he would get torpedoed.
He did, but with a brain disease and died at 23. Learned later on he was an "oiler". Basically a mechanic's helper.
He used to get smudges of grease all over him.
some things haven't changed...;)
So my Mother's brother was an oiler and my Father's brother was Captain of a destroyer, after WWII.
Probably why I've always liked the water.

Appreciate the fact I've only had to worry about hazards to navigation and not torpedoes.
We lost so many ships and lives in that war until we got sonar installed.
This CG Captain had his own Let's Roll moment, very protective of local shipping.
Shipping like my Uncle who went right by here up the NC Coast at the same time in 1942.

Something I don't think PJ will have to worry about. Bad guys coming up the Mississippi torpedoing
cheesy Chinese group tourist paddlewheel boats with winky lights ablaze,
as the locals at dockside bars raise a glass and chant good riddance :D

Will all of you pledge to never get on a duck boat please? Now those are tragedies.
