Wrestled a old couch downstairs, and a new one inside. I called a neighbor to help, very nice guy, he came over in about 5 minutes, got it done quickly. Its nice to have good neighbors!! I have a new lazy boy love seat recliner to watch tv or surf the web in. Life is good!!!

Had to ask wife to help me wrestle 6 sheets of flat roofing tin (4x10) to a new temp home. Bought these when we built the house with thought we might do skylights, so these sheets were from our roofing manufacturer in order to do custom flashings. Decided against the skylights but have these 6 sheets, bought and paid for. Naturally, I can’t waste them. I do think I have decided on a use. Going to build a roof over area I park the tractor, probably a 2x3 configuration with a minimal slope.
On a totally different, but happy note, wife says, “thought you were going to sell both tractors and get a new one?” I said, yes, but not this year. Sounds like I may have approval

You mean to tell me a cpap machine makes a sound? I've never heard one make a sound of any kind. Of course, I take my hearing aids out before I go to bed and put the cpap mask on, and I don't put them back in until I get up in the morning.

Yep. They hiss like a snake. Or atleast the mask does when it’s not sealed. The sound will wake me up at night if I knock the mask loose. Not the air on my face.
I don’t have hearing aids. Yet.

Good evening to all! High of 80 today, really nice day. Storm has been building since about 6 pm, now it's 9, a brief passing shower. Severe t-storm warnings just to the east and west of us. The guys down in Tx apparently told the storms what to do....just split and go around those TBN guys:laughing: we really need the rain. Still brown here, but greening up where those rains have gone.

Appreciate the info on ambulance billing...here the services are regulated by the PUC, YES THE PUBLIC REGULATORY COMMISSION ! They have substantial caps on the billing. A trip here is about $450 for a full advanced life support unit, about $300 for a basic unit. Around $2.50 a mile. Rediculously low. Just our fuel costs are about $15,000 a month. The service is hospital owned, so they probably use us as a tax write-off.

Buppies, good news about the cancer...hope you heal quickly, prayers sent!

Ed, thanks for the kind words / thoughts. Sometimes it gets hard to continue, but that is why we do it...who else will?

RonJ, I hope your Dr's appt went well today and you received good news. Prayers are out to you.

Drew, nice car! I too, like that color.

Farmer, hope getting the chickens started on their trip goes uneventfully.

Just have a half day at work tomorrow, then off for four! Yippee!

Guess what day tomorrow is? HUMPDAY!

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

The weather has been very kind to us these last few days, plenty of cloud and no higher than 25C/77F. It encouraged me to make a start on crushing some brick rubble to level a piece a ground for a water tank. Half a dozen swings with the sledge hammer and the head comes flying off. It's the first and last time I've broken a glass fibre shaft. Hickory handle for me next time - at least they still have other uses after they break.

No one gets charged here for a ride to hospital. Only problem is that the nearest ambulance is stationed over half an hour away. If that one is busy, hard luck. Up until last week there was a fast response car stationed in the town to give medical help. That's now been pulled, but we still have locally two specially equipped vehicles that will also come quickly for us night or day - unfortunately they only go as far as the funeral parlour...

On the upside, if you're a dog, it's a great place to be taken sick as there are two major veterinary practices close by. :)

Everyone, take good care of yourselves !

Ugh! What's that noise? At 1:30AM? In the kitchen? A mouse? Of course it stops when I turn on the light. And starts back up right after I crawl back into bed. So I put a stalk on, and got as close as the cupboard holding the garbage can before it stopped again. What to do? Isn't there a mouse trap in that other cupboard over there somewhere? Yep. A little dab of peanut butter, set the trigger, and put it down behind the can. Back to the bedroom and try to fall asleep... SNAP! What was that? The trap. And it'd got a mouse in it. And it's still wriggling. I'll take care of that in the morning. Good night!
