Trying to take the day off from work (have to check emails every few hours to handle urgent stuff), 50s or low 60s at night here, warming to mid 90s during day. Expected to see triple digits next week.. We often have a couple weeks in late July or early August where it is hot and doesn't cool off at night.

Gonna unload the truck today from the camping trip, maybe get a nap in this afternoon.

Replacement battery EGO 56v:
2.5 ah $130 (trimmer, blower)
5 ah $249 (push mower)
7.5 ah $378 (self propelled mower)

All are interchangeable just the duration of operation is longer with the larger ah.

The Worx batteries are 40 Volts and have 2 aH capacity each so, total capacity is 4 aH.

I’ve got to replace my trimmer, I had two that I lost in the fire a year ago today. Man a lot has happened in that year in my world!
Anyway, I have about 20-30 minutes of trimming. My Kubota will fit most places, it’s why I got 48 instead of 60, 54 would squeeze through but I didn’t want to be squeezing. I only mow 2 acres.

I traditionally never cared for battery powered lawn tools. They have always been a disappointment to me. However, battery technology has come a long way since the 1980s, and my recent positive experience with the Lynxx pole saw from Harbor Freight has my Wife interested in their 40v line trimmer. May pick one up this weekend.

Going to the grocery in a bit. Don't remember 100 square bale days but I know there were many of them. I remember the 1100 and 1200 bale days very well. Upper 90's and 90 some % humidity with 1100 or 1200 bales make for a rough day. Would hate to think of that now. Ed

The EGO comes in a self propelled and a push mower for $150 less. I don't need the self propelled either it is very easy to push. Bird has the self propelled and it is good for him. The self propelled also has the larger 7.5ah 56v battery.

The on sale Worx is a good price for the job you need it for.

And even though I use the self-propulsion system most of the time, you don't have to. You can turn that lever loose and use it as a non-self propelled. And it actually is the easiest to "push" of any mower I ever used.

I have the EGO as my only trimmer now and it works great. When you get a battery operated device look at all the devices that are made and can also use that battery. I can interchange the batteries with a hedge trimmer, weed eater, blower, mower, chainsaw, poles saw and edger and a powerhead that can handle multiple attachments. With that in mind I would recommend the EGO powerhead and add attachments as you need them.
