Need to pour first cup of coffee. 54° with a very bright moon this morning. Heading to 76° with another chance of rain in PM. Got .35" of rain in about 20 minutes yesterday. Grass is almost back to full green. PT released be back to doctor yesterday. Little over a week to get a appointment. Got a hair cut yesterday. Got a dying pine shrub that I am going to work on removing today. See how well HF Lynxx pole saw works.

Eric, kind of early for a Burger here. Going to have to find a place with a good one for dinner tonight. :licking:

Farmer, I remember doing a couple 100 bales a day. Don't miss it. Barn loft has not had hay in 30 years. But do like smell of fresh baled hay.

Good morning! 70s to 100+ today, that means inside entertainment this afternoon.
My wife joined the International Club. They have free Spanish lessons. I'll spin and hit the fitness center.

I have shoes and bike cleats ordered. I finally found an American company that makes wide 3 hole (on bottom for cleat attachment) bicycle shoes and a person on Amazon answered my question and I found the right cleats for my vintage pedals. While I was searching the pedals I found out that these are the first generation clip-less pedals that Lance raced on. For those not familiar with bike shoes you press down to attach the cleat to the pedal and then twist you foot sideways to release. It's easier to take your foot off and on the pedal when you have to stop for traffic. You need the attachment because when you pedal for speed you are pushing down one pedal and and pulling up on the other.

Our neighborhood local resident "Snake Wrangler" had an incident removing a rat snake from a residents tree. While he was pulling a limb down the snake was on, it bit him on the lip and nose. He was on aspirin and he looked like a bloody mess. That did not deter him a bit, he still grabbed the snake and escorted it to a wild area. He was embarrassed. Mom still has a rogue copperhead wandering around her house, no more sightings but she carries a hoe with her walker. I told her if she live in this retirement neighborhood they have a snake wrangler that would remove it. Her excuse was I bet they charge a lot. She was surprised when i told her he was a neighbor volunteer and does it free. Of course he is in his 70s and might retire soon after this last capture did not go as expected.

Farmer be careful with that hay - my grandfather had a heart attack and died while throwing around square bales in his 80s.

thanks Randy, it did. Three or four squirts of the cold stuff on top of my head, and that was it for this time. Yeah.
I did ask him about three of four facial bits that won't go away and he said they could easily be lazered off, whole thing for 125 bucks.
Hmmm. I won't do "cosmetic surgery" but this seemed reasonable.

going to finish mowing this morning, as more showers due in this afternoon. Helper showing up mid afternoon, useless to me, I'm exhausted by then, and today he is going
to get rained out. Javier is giving his notice at the pig farm today so in a week he goes full time and can come here in the morning. He got a dose of working in the hot afternoon sun here and I don't think he liked it at all, so he gets "morning" too. Looks like I'm weedeating this week, still have real concerns this will work out. One thing, I'm going to learn some Spanish words this way.

New Audi due in next week, they want to get sale in July, not my problem...sales guy doing this dance of why they can't always offer KBB wholesale if their sophisticated marketing program tells them there are too many of the same vehicles for sale in the area at that time. Sounds like another way to empty my pockets....28 grand for a like new loaded Outback. Going, going....
And on top of that, they quoted 5.45 % APR when the local bank was 3.88%. The whole deal is so stacked against the consumer, you have to fight for value all the way.
The funny thing is the banker in my local branch was an F&I guy at a dealership for 15 years, we had a great conversation on how to look for value. Thankfully I can do numbers fairly well in my head, but when they say take our financing and we'll give you 1500 back, then you have to do all the comparison cost analysis to see if you are just getting suckered. There is absolutely no one in this process I trust. Just wish I could pay cash for this car but I spent my fun money on tractors last year.

And yes, thank you Amazon. Bought 25 shares when it was at 650 two years ago. Ahhhhhhhh. That gain paid for my last three tractors.
I never buy stock, stick with mostly Vanguard mutual funds, but I've been a Prime member since 2001 and I thought their idea was great.

84 degrees going for 101 today with a 20% chance of rain (according to the NWS). I figure it's somewhere between a slim chance and a fat chance. I had a 7 a.m. dental appointment yesterday, got there about 10 minutes early, found a lady already there waiting for the dentists' office to open, and we both gave up and left about 7:20 when the office had not opened and no one arrived. I went back by later and found they were open; they changed their hours from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Thursdays; just didn't bother to tell those of us who already had 7 a.m. appointments. They had moved my appointment to 7 a.m. today without telling me. Fortunately, it's just for a routine cleaning and checkup.

So is getting released from PT to the doctor good progress? I don't know about how that process works.

I hate to say it, but it has been hard to find a reliably better burger and fries than Five Guys (plus love roasted peanuts).

Got 3+ hours of mowing done but I had to wait until 3pm for the grass to dry. I didn't realize one spot on a trail with high grass still has standing water, so flew through it and splashed muddy water all over my nice clean ZTR. Got some string trimming and backpack spraying on tap for today.

Don, glad you found clips/shoes. Is the company that makes IPs a public company with traded shares?

Drew, not even sure I had even heard of Amazon back in 2001. But I, too, like Prime and bought Amazon through an ETF called QQQ...unfortunately for yesterday it also holds Facebook shares.

The farmer across the road used to cut my fields for hay, baling it with the smaller square/rectangular bales. I helped him a few times and found out how hard that works is. Fortunately, he switched to round bales. When we had horses, I'd go buy square bales of better quality hay than what we fed the goats, and climb up about 10 or 15 bales high to toss some down from that farmer's barn...a lot easier getting them down than up. But I agree, the aroma is fantastic.

So is getting released from PT to the doctor good progress? I don't know about how that process works.

My insurance (Medicare) requires me to take PT before they will allow payment for a MRI or other test to see what real problems for pain in upper right arm is from. PT people think it is a torn bicep tendon. Need MRI or other to find what it is. I hope it is a good thing.

68 degrees here this morning with forecast of 99 this afternoon. I think last time we saw 60’s was back in April.

Since I bought the new Kubota ZD1211 with 72” deck I’ve got many more places it can’t get to like our previous John Deere Z820 with 60” deck could. It’s more area than I want to cleanup with my Echo trimmer so I was about to buy a gas lawn mower but, looked into the Worx battery mowers. I ended up buying a Worx WG750 Mower that is powered by dual 40 volt batteries.

4V Cordless 17" Lawn Mower with Mulching Capabilities - WG75 | WORX I got it for $188 on a 25% off sale and free shipping. Ordered it on 7/23 and Fedex is scheduled to deliver it today.

It weighs under 40 lbs., even less if I don’t use the bagger so, I should be able to put it in the bed of the Polaris Ranger and hit all the un-mowed places quickly.

Anyone else using the Worx tools?

I did look at the EVO mowers but, they’re about 70 lbs. and $650, more for use as your only Mower.
