Good morning!!!!

67 going to 78 and rain is predicted by 8am and then all day.

Guess I won't get much done outside.

Went hunting poison ivy again yesterday with my backpack sprayer for about 3.5 hours. Going back over the same areas I did last year showed me I am winning the war!

Dropping in to say "good morning" from Slovakia. My wife made some sort of "healthy cookies" from soaked nuts and stuff. With sugared jam on top, they are tasty. :)
Things have been real busy here. The Iseki has been a good deal of help though, and handles the hay bales just fine (if going slowly, already had some instability when moving fast, but I do have the seatbelt in the tractor-- just would be a **** of an embarrassment to have to go get some neighbors to come and pull a tipped over tractor upright.) Not looking like we'll get to having cattle this year though.

Need to pour fist cup of coffee. 66° with light rain this morning. Heading to 77° with chance of thunderstorms. Got .02 rain since yesterday morning. Started prepping garage and barn service doors for painting yesterday. Ready to paint today. But rain may put that on hold. May change oil in cars. Other than that nothing else planned.

Diesel here is $3.15. Gas is $2.72 if you look. Lots of place selling for over $3.00.

Drew, parts for Craftsman/Delta band saw are readily available. I bought some parts from Ereplacmentparts .com. The 14" Band Saw from HF does not look bad if your old one is not repairable.

Riptide, Mounds in the lawn. Maybe a oil find. Don't be blasting it with 00. You may end up with a gusher. :D My guess is it may be ants.

Good Morning All. Prayers sent for those in need.

There is always Shopsmith-- might be on the smaller side though for you. But can the Craftsman not be repaired?

Always nice to hear from you Andrew.
Well, maybe it can be fixed. In fact I'm sure it can, but it's stumped me so far.
WEN 3939 2.8-Amp 9" Benchtop Band Saw - - Amazon.com
It's a cheesy lightweight saw, pretty sure Wen made it for them, looks identical to the Wen, I have the smallest bench top model. The clamp is cheesy and must be fiddled with to get a true 90 degrees. Frankly never liked the thing and now the rubber drive belt has broken. I bought a new belt. Spent literally hours trying to get the mechanism apart so the new belt could be installed. Could not find instructions online but maybe I can searching the Wen model. I'm clearly missing some important step.

I don't use the saw often, and until I downsize and spend more time in my woodshop, hard to justify commercial quality. Most of Grizzly stuff comes from Taiwan, but like Jet most of their equipment looks high value, and start in the 600 dollar range. I haven't found the Shopsmith line yet, know they've been around a long time, but I think that's a price brand too.
Am trying to climb out of the basement of quality here.
The decent equipment is so heavy it makes sense me tracking down the closest store, likely either in Raleigh or up in lower VA, and take the truck and pick it up myself, shipping costs a lot and worse, damages the equipment.

Ron, Delta would not make something this lightweight. I need to write down the model number and then I'll use your link, thanks.

I used a bandsaw a lot while making several dozen birdhouses. One of which is on my woodshop bench crying out for a complete refurb. Just too much else to do.
Maybe this winter. Of course I said that last winter.

raining pretty well here, little over an inch of rain so far, gentle, much needed.
Supposed to stop late morning and then start up again later, big system off shore moving North.
72 going up to 84 in clouds and showers.

54 right now...high in the low 80's today.
Chores: dump run, mow and see what else is on the list.

Yesterday's trip to CT was a wash....I'd been queasy most of last week...turned around about 50 miles south. Although I'd liked to have taken the training (on Failure Mode Effect Analysis), I've been leading or part of FMEA teams for about 20 years, so I doubt there'd be much new to learn.
