Good morning to all! Low of 65, going up to 88. High clouds this morning keeping it a little cooler. A storm finally passed overhead last night, woke me up around 11:00 with some good booms that shook the house. Only lasted about 15 minutes, got .1" of rain. Not enough.

This past weekend was productive, got a lot of loose ends finished up on numerous projects. Feels good. I will definitely pass on doing the neighbor's work until it can be fit into OUR schedule. Thanks again for all the valuable insight.

Never got around to cleaning the wifey's car so, that is on the agenda for today. After that? I'm sure I'll find something.

Drew, I bet the food pantry will really be grateful for all those tomatoes. Great thing you are doing.

David, the garage looks great. It's really neat that it is a drive through.

Everyone have a great start to the week. Prayers out to all!

... Who is going on vacation to the coolest spot this summer?

My wife & I, and my 9 year old daughter will be headed to Kona on the BIg Island in early September.

Wife and I were in Peurto Vallarta for Valentines Day, and we are taking another couple with us to Mazatlan in late April/early May 2019.

Part of the marriage vows was 2 vacations per year, in the budget. LOL!

72°F and foggy this morning, going up to 92° today. Looks like any chance for rain later today has evaporated from the forecast.

I got a whole lot of nothing done this weekend. I tried to replace a broken electric chainsaw for my Wife, but HF was out of stock of the new battery powered gizmos. While I was out that way, though, I stopped in the local Guitar Center and found they had in stock an electronic drum monitor system I'd been eyeballing for awhile. It was on sale for $100 off, too, so the last one they had followed me home. It's still in the back of my car. Probably make it's way into the studio tonight. I've been using an old home computer sound system, but it just doesn't have enough umph to it. New one (the Simmons DA350, for the music gear geeks) is 350 watts divided between the subwoofer and two satellites, which should be more than enough for my little space.

Speaking of the studio stuff ... I did some research yesterday on the Inkscape graphics freeware that Eric recommended. It got some glowing industry reviews a few years ago, and there is an abundance of online tutoring available. I downloaded it yesterday afternoon and started playing with the disc template. Works great, although there is definitely going to be a learning curve. Lots of stuff in that program, most of which I'll probably never use. Appreciate the reminder about that one, Eric, ... as did The Wife / CFO.

No vacations to far away places for us this year. I'm saving my last week of vacation time for the deck build this September. I'll have to live vicariously though youse guys.

David/Sodamo: Quick! call your realtor, and make a bid, new waterfront property, get it on the ground floor! :D
Hawaii volcano lava has created a tiny new island - CNN

picked tiny carrots, almost not worth the effort, and the last of the onions, these were white onions.
Almost kept going and was going to move the pumpkin plants to an open area, and just said that's enough. Tomorrow is another day.

Most annoying to have the largest tomato I have grown yet get chomped by this big caterpillar, which is now squished and composted. Trying to grow a one pounder,
and I was close...one more big contender still on vine. Trying to avoid spray, guess I can't.

A real tstorm just popped up. Rumbles were heard and ignored until the bolt showed up overhead. My day outside came to an end as I ran for cover. Need the water so it is all good. Lol.

Ellen and I are doing a Tennessee vacation this fall, Pigeon Forge, Lynchburg, Memphis, then back to Nashville. She’s never been to Tennessee, and I wouldn’t care if I didn’t go again, been there plenty. Then a cruise this winter to Bermuda I believe, if she doesn’t change her mind. I’d rather go sit on the beach under a pop up and watch the waves. I’m afraid five days on a ship is going to bore me to death. But I’m going to give it a whirl.

A few camping trips planned locally (within 120 miles), wanting to venture further but time constraints prohibit it.

Friends and family have told me how great cruises are, and I've told them that I'd be glad to go on one . . . if they paid me enough. But I sure wouldn't pay them to go boat riding, no matter how big the boat is. A boat is a way to get to the fish, or if necessary, to cross a river, but otherwise .. . . .. But I can understand the attraction and wish the best to those who go on cruises.
