70°F and .53 inches rain.

Could be interesting morning. Trucking company scheduled to be here early to pick up 40 ft container been parked here about 6 months to transport to Naalehu area. Container belongs to a friend who moved from FL Keys last Dec and is settling in a yearly rental property. Container has mill, lathe and other tools Keith uses to make steel drums - the musical type.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Actually, the PTO shaft ends are well lubricated and it slips on the tractor's stub shaft easily. The problem is the retaining balls don't retract enough. I've read online that sometimes the connector end is packed with grease...too much grease. The fix is to disassemble, clean out the excessive grease and re-lube. This isn't my first PTO shaft by far but it has been the most frustrating to hook up.

I have had to remove the "pull back" collar, letting the balls come out completely, to get off a stuck PTO. Then I had to take a file and clean up the shaft where the balls had impinged the shaft on the tops of the splines. (Making the shaft have a larger OD than it should)

55 right now...high in the low 80's today.

Audit's over...2 minor findings at our plant. Not so good at our sister companies, but I don't think there were any majors.
Think I'm going to knock off early...wife and stepdaughter want to grill this afternoon.
Good deal on the audit.

I hurt my back Wednesday night. Pumped ibuprofen until this AM. Much better, but still tender. Can't put my own socks on. Gonna be a flip flops week off for vacation.

Reminiscing of lost, old friends should ultimately bring back fond memories.

Hope you all have a great day.

Mowed grass, what a dusty mess! I haven’t seen it this dry since 2012. Six weeks ago it was so wet you could hardly mow.
Trimmed some trees and watered flowers and maters, then gave the dog a bath, now it’s my turn!

Well I have just got to reply to this shaving sub-thread. After I joined the Army in '75 I kept clean shaven for decades, using my Dad's safety razor and Gillette blades, even after I got out of the RA. Partially because in hot humid conditions with a beard my face would get itchy. And the Army seemed to want to make sure I traveled to hot humid areas.

About 2000 or so there was speculation that razor blade prices were going to jump, and being a cheap SOB I found a sale and bought about 20 packs. I made them last and MAYBE went through about 10 packs by 2005. Work got a little more liberal and I started keeping a beard during the winter, shaving during the summer. Then about 2007 I decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and dyed my hair and beard green for the day. And shaved it all off the next day. (Except for the moustache, I've kept that since '78) As I was approaching retirement I adopted that practice, sometimes not dying the hair. One shave and a haircut (with clippers at their shortest) on the day after. Repeat annually. Since 2009 I think I've gone through one pack of blades. SWMBO occasionally touches the hair between holidays.
This last year I changed over to just using the clippers for my beard, leaving me with about a two day stubble which seems to be popular. Saved me about 10 minutes.

Don't know where I packed the razor blades.

Shaving is far overrated. I think a good going over with clippers once a week keeps the bugs out, the moisture down and in this day and age your still presentable.

Like I wrote, green is only for St. Patrick's day. My fraternal Grandmother was VERY Irish. I USED to celebrate with 3/4 liter of Jamesons. A green beard is better at the office than a bottle of Jamesons :)

One year I was at Camp Lejeune training Marines on Topographic equipment, a British OF-4 (Lt Col?) visited and got a good chuckle out of it.

Good evening all. 74F this morning, mostly cloudy, near calm wind. Wind was more brisk, clouds cleared off some then got cloudy with thunderstorm around but no rain, high temp 92F. Had a lawyer/estate planner to update will to Texas standards, not radically different but impressive bill :( . Bike ride, nap take dog to Vet, had **** gland issues.
Bird sorry for your loss.
PJ nice perspective.
Roy nice audit results, hard to do much better!!
Prayers for all.
