Actually, the PTO shaft ends are well lubricated and it slips on the tractor's stub shaft easily. The problem is the retaining balls don't retract enough. I've read online that sometimes the connector end is packed with grease...too much grease. The fix is to disassemble, clean out the excessive grease and re-lube. This isn't my first PTO shaft by far but it has been the most frustrating to hook up.
Good deal on the audit.2017-07-13, 0315
55 right now...high in the low 80's today.
Audit's over...2 minor findings at our plant. Not so good at our sister companies, but I don't think there were any majors.
Think I'm going to knock off early...wife and stepdaughter want to grill this afternoon.
I showed it to my wife, she said she would just leave me if i did that. Lol.Well I have just got to reply to this shaving sub-thread. After I joined the Army in '75 I kept clean shaven for decades, using my Dad's safety razor and Gillette blades, even after I got out of the RA. Partially because in hot humid conditions with a beard my face would get itchy. And the Army seemed to want to make sure I traveled to hot humid areas.
About 2000 or so there was speculation that razor blade prices were going to jump, and being a cheap SOB I found a sale and bought about 20 packs. I made them last and MAYBE went through about 10 packs by 2005. Work got a little more liberal and I started keeping a beard during the winter, shaving during the summer. Then about 2007 I decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and dyed my hair and beard green for the day. And shaved it all off the next day. (Except for the moustache, I've kept that since '78) As I was approaching retirement I adopted that practice, sometimes not dying the hair. One shave and a haircut (with clippers at their shortest) on the day after. Repeat annually. Since 2009 I think I've gone through one pack of blades. SWMBO occasionally touches the hair between holidays.
This last year I changed over to just using the clippers for my beard, leaving me with about a two day stubble which seems to be popular. Saved me about 10 minutes.
Don't know where I packed the razor blades.
Shaving is far overrated. I think a good going over with clippers once a week keeps the bugs out, the moisture down and in this day and age your still presentable.
