Good Afternoon everyone!!!!
It's been a while since I last posted (pre-physical exam). It takes a while to get caught up with all the "action" here.
Dave- I am happy to read that you and Sophie remain safe and out of harm's way.
Randy- Whenever a relatively passive and cooperative-to-care Alzheimer's/Demented resident suddenly became combative to care and agitated the first thing I would check would be the unit's "BM Log." Many times the change in behavior was due to constipation. I would become agitated too if I was carrying a "log."

I really hope the cause of the agitation is so simple. My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for Ellen's Mom and Ellen, and you... The "long goodbye" is never easy......
Ted- I am happy to read that "light duty" did not cause more harm than good.... Now I have to start worrying about Farmer. I suspect most if not all the frequent flyers here fit a similar "profile" when it comes to "rehabilitation."
Don- I am happy to read that the move went so "smoothly." I am even happier to read that Whipper is transitioning to "community living." I hope the transition continues to be smooth. Good luck to all.
Drew- Did you ever consider yourself to be a "hunk" or a "piece of meat" in the company of all those women? Good luck with the ladies.
I've been really busy around here trying to make some progress on "The List's" Springtime projects. I am getting decent almost daily seat time on the tractor

and I like moving rocks around

. There was a decent rock crop to harvest this Spring. Lot's of minor irritations like slow leaking rider and garden cart tires and an ailing string trimmer/bushwacker made "things" interesting. :rolleyes". I do not want to think of all the cans of "Slime" I sprayed into those tires; those tires are probably foam filled now

. With those extending lower link arms hooking up attachments is relatively painless, but when it comes to attaching the PTO shafts I have to crib up the PTO driveshaft or suspend the PTO shaft with some line in order to save my limited grip "strength" for those locking mechanisms when I am swapping attachments on the tractor. The garden area is now tilled, planted and "mulched" (black plastic :embarrassed

; I am actually only using 25% of the total area tilled for the "garden." The
chipper/shredder is now attached and I have been busy processing the windfall. I only stalled out once with the
chipper/shredder which required some "disassembly" to remove the jam. My physical exam was interesting. I was one of my PCP's first patients 40 years ago when he first started his practice; now he will be retiring sometime after my next physical in 6 months. He never saw my BP so good- 120/70 and I am 20 pounds lighter than last year. My cholesterol is down from 219 (combined) to 191, but my ratio of HDL's to LDL's is much worse. He supports the 2 insulin shots/day instead of the previous 4 shots/day. Between the reduction in martini's, diet change, and weight loss something is working.
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.
Back to straightening up the wood pile and make some room for the next cordwood delivery
