Good morning!!!!

Good morning all. We need to find that Fountain Of Youth quick, as we are all spending too much time going to doctor's offices,
who are rarely on time it seems these days.

Hope those on the mend continue to get better. And that forest fires and lava flows go the other way.

Anyone heard from Jay?
the famed TBN Missing Persons unit is now activated

Cooler day, so much moisture out there, my tomatoes are unhappy from lack of sun.
I think I may have to spray the whole garden again.

Taking three dozen more onions down to food pantry this morning, makes four dozen Texas Sweets
going to those who will hopefully appreciate them. I'm keeping back half a dozen to chop up, mostly the bruised ones
with bad spots I can cut out. Tops of the onions are dying off so I need to keep picking them even if they are smaller.

I might pull up a few beets today to check them out. I love pickled beets...

58 going to 74. Rained all day yesterday. If it dries out enough today, I'll finish moi French drain. Grass is trying to sneak up on me, growing fast all night, then just sitting there during the day smiling in the rain...ground is soft and squishy, so hoping that dries fast, too.

CWB, hope your wife is feeling better.

CjR, that's a nice thing you did for your cousin.

Son collected his dog last night, so back to just one here...probably take her for a swim down at the creek this morning.

Good morning. Hot and humid down here. High will be 94 deg F.

We are watching the tropical disturbance down south. Hopefully it won't cause problems this weekend. We plan to be celebrating my dad's 90th birthday and don't want to turn that into a hurricane party.

I've tried to plant chestnuts down here for 5 years. This year I am giving up. The trees can't survive the summer salty hot air no matter what I try.

I just planted an avocado a couple weeks ago. The leaves are turning pale. I wonder what's wrong with it.

Good morning! 77˚Sunny and hot heading to 95˚ They are holding my Subaru for ransom. During the move changing address on one of my credit cars was such a hassle I dropped it. The Subaru dealer does not take my other card to my surprise (no signs anywhere) and of course I was not carrying my checkbook, and they were closing. SOO this morning we make the exchange, I have a brown paper bag for the drop . . . . Or I could just keep the loaner car its worth more than the Forester. ??????

Whipper refused to come in last night so this was the first night she was out all night. No barks, she may be CA approved. That's Community Association not California which would never approver her she breaths out too much carbon dioxide.

BEF, yeah, Silverton is in a world of hurt. Only access they have is from the north (Grand Junction), or from the east (Denver). Tourists aren't going to make those drives unless they are going out to 4-wheel. Plenty of other areas to do that though. Hope the mom and pop shops can survive.
Drove right thru your town last june also, took I40 out to grand canyon. My first time in NM. Did the musical highway, and stayed a night in Albuquerque.

Now now, I heard you talk about going through Winchester!
Winchester has mission bbq!!! Lol

I like finding and eating at places like RNG found in Raymond. Kind of like when we stopped at Nana's Irish pub down in middletown va. I am always up for a good food road trip. Heck, we drove down to Catawba Va once just to eat at "the homeplace".

It's still a little cool this morning 35*, yesterday it was in the mid 70's with a lot wind in the afternoon. Looks like today will be in the low 80's and sunny with less wind.

The plan for today is going to be to stain the deck. I don't like painting and I have two more jobs to do after the deck. Hope to get them done this coming week.

Drew...I learned about the perils of doing laundry for her 35 years ago. There are some things I won't forget.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

72°F and cloudy with some light sprinkles this morning, going up to 92° today. More storms expected around noon-ish.

Met The Wife at the driving range in Edwardsville IL after work yesterday to put in a little work on our golf swings. It was hot. 92° when we pulled into the parking lot at 4:45pm. Was just short of miserable, as my swing and ball striking were atrocious. I got about 3/4 of the way through a large bucket before I found the right stuff, and every one was glorious after that, straight and perfect loft. Strange how that happens. She started hitting well about 1/2 way through hers. It was a sweat-fest, but in the end was worth it.

Thunder started to rumble close by just before we left the range, and we got home well before the storms hit us. We only got a brush of the severe stuff, but it was enough to frighten all the dogs into hiding in the bedroom. Some of the thunder was so loud and deep that the water in the lake was shimmering. Never seen it do that before. Pretty interesting.

BEF, we made that drive to The Canyon as well back in 2011. It was a two day trip. We stopped in Amarillo the first night, then on to Flagstaff the next day, where we stayed for the week. We did stop in Albuquerque for lunch at the famed Owl Cafe. Of course, as Bugs Bunny fans, we made the requisite "left" turn coming out of their parking lot.

Utica is what we call east side. I live on far west side. I was born and raised in town that borders Utica on the south. That was over 45 years ago.
