That 396/360 Chevelle was a one year only motor, obviously very quick.

The 396 c.i. / 375 HP (L78) option was made available mid-model year for the 1966 SS396 Chevelles. Great engine! I think the success of the 396 / 375 doomed the 396 / 360 quickly.

ThereaboutsTexas.com got hijacked some months ago. I haven’t taken the time to work out with internet gods to get it back. Right now I’m working off of 1 to 2 bar AT&T cell service and devices are screaming for backup, need WIFI for that. But I own the domain name and I’m sure we’ll get it straightened out when I get after it.

One of the first things we always do is name something new. Our place here was no exception. After a couple of try’s we decided Thereabouts Texas will work. It’s between Reality Road and Memory Lane on FM 1753 east of Denison. So we will make the website about our making an old place with a horrible reputation into a jewel. At one time some years ago there was 3 single wides and an old shop made into an apartment on it. We bought it because it had a water meter, a well, four electric bases, and two septic tanks.

Yep, I had a ‘67 350 Horse SS, quick but not 375 quick.

Beautiful morning here, 3 presentations on schedule today, first one done, next one in a few minutes, 3rd one in couple hours, all different topics. Seems like work is just jumping from one crisis to next with training presentations weaved into mix..

There are usually 2 version a 27 and a 27F back in the day we always called the "F" the Ford version and the post were swapped was the only difference.
