47 right now...high in the mid-70's and, another nice day.
Main task of the day is to finish up assembling that grill I wrote about yesterday...after that, we'll see
I'm on a bit higher dosage of BP meds...leaves me a bit dizzy in the morning (even though I take it with food the night before). This will pass in a couple days but it does slow down my "start" time

Good morning all, 65 this morning going to 73 with am fog and 100% - 70% chance of heavy rain. No plans today, will see what comes. Been watching some videos about a Russ Finch that is using very simple geo-thurmal green houses to raise citrus in Nebraska. Interesting.

Have a great day, prayers sent all around. Ed

You are a smart man to "slow down" and know your limitations.

Unlike myself, and apparently Billy ;) that meant we kept working until dinnertime/suppertime so we were exhausted as we all try to take advantage, in our case, of dry weather so we can get things done. Rain held off here too, got about a quarter inch last night in a thunderstorm. A truck washer!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with a chance of morning rain. Got cut lawn yesterday. Garden pond maintenance this morning. Friend visit this afternoon. We are going to attend the local car Cruse In. Fairlane and Mustang day.

Ed, the tools that come with the lathe and mill make a big difference in total coast. My 12" Craftsman lathe came with so many tools. After owning it for over 50 years. I still have not unpacked some of the tools that came with it. Original owner made clock parts with it. Guy I bought it from used it to modify gun barrels to fit different ***** stocks. I did a few after buying the lathe. My Bridgeport came with a few tools. It has a B&S #2 spindle. I used the Flynn boring bar attachment a lot when I played with motor cycles. Which limits me to 1/2" shank mill cutters. But it will get the job done. All feeds are hand. But accurate. You will find the right one. Just keep watching.
RNG, 1/2 full is better than 1/2 empty. :confused3::D

Roy, I was taking my BP meds in the evening. Left me out of energy midday. Changed to first thing in morning. That was after body got adapted to the meds.

Thomas, I do not use my backhoe attachment much anymore. But my well is 28 years old. Hope I never need to dig up the feed line. But if I do it's there. Same for the septic field. Only it's about 70 years old.

Drew, good harvest.

Prayers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

Ron, a Fairlane 500 convertible, 390?, fine looking car, take some pics please

stuffed from Sunday morning breakfast, made a sausage egg muffin using Tennessee sausage with no preservatives, just pork water and spices, and they were good. Trying to avoid all nitrates and nitrites in food. Really believe they are bad for us.
I don't believe our bodies were meant to consume fertilizer or its cousins.
really have to hunt in the hot dog aisle....

then I read about using corn gluten meal to kill off weeds in alleged organic gardening.
So much weedkiller in the corn it is still loaded in the gluten and active.
Doesn't that just make you want to chow down on some?...…..
what is corn gluten used for? I bet we are eating it buried in other things.

rain gauge says .18, 72 degrees F and time to get moving.

Wngsprd, we got the reverse, supposed to rain late day and a thunderstorm formed southeast about 11:30 and backed over us and rained until
Dark. .66”.
By 11:30 yesterday it was 87 with heat index of 96 so the rain was welcome. But the poor farmers can’t get near their fields with almost 14” of rain in 6 weeks.

Went ballgame before the rain, visited mom, Ellen and I went to the Crusty Crab in the big city of Greenbackville, VA. Then on to Mr. Whippy in Chincoteague for ice cream.

Lots to do today with church and parent visits.
Prayers for all you folks, you feel like family.

Up early today, dogs had to go out, I stayed up, they went back to bed....who runs this house?

Ron, I have never seen a Bridgeport with a #2 spindle. Most had a R8. Is that a old round ram machine?

Light rain falling now, guess any mowing isn’t going to get done today. The tragedies never cease!

Roy, I take my BP med in the morning. I take the Lipitor generic in the evening, that’s what my doctor instructed. I really wish I didn’t take any pills, but that isn’t my fate.

I guess I’ll find something else to do today, it’s not like there is a shortage of things needed.

Have fun guys!

I'm afraid taking pills is a fact of life for us older guys...

55 going to 73 Wind ESE 12 mph. Increasing cloudiness.

A nice day for a drive, too bad it is to the big smoke. Markham and Toronto share the same border and the yard is only 1 mile north of it.

This is the first spring in a lot of years that I got everything done that I wanted to do. It feels good!
Now if my knee would only co-operate. I take my cane with me in the big truck always just in case.

Over 1300 taters, how many pounds would that be?

I've got a tentative schedule of where I will be and when. Timmins first, then North Bay. So either town will work for internet access. See ya all next weekend.

Stay safe
