propane company coming this morning to pull out my 500 gallon tank and replace it with a 1000 gallon.
Then I have to go to local fence company and pick out a privacy fence to hide the thing, big and ugly....right in the middle of my back yard
so I sure don't want to see it when I look out. Will cover the fence with climbing roses, have a plan.

Gave up on selling car. Used car dealer said he would buy car at same trade in as new car dealer.
well, this was certainly a learning experience and if you ever hear anyone make the statement:
Oh I bought this Jag after all the depreciation is out of it
Then you can smile quietly and say Good Luck....
At least one less thing to maintain and I save the car insurance costs.
Selling it to him tomorrow afternoon.

While I'm stuck waiting for the propane folks, going to be fiddling with Super A, time to cultivate the corn. Need to set cultivators wide to begin with and hope I don't rip up anything worthwhile. Needless to say my corn didn't come out in perfect straight rows so I'm not sure how this will work out. But I'm sure not hand hoeing that corn much more. Gosh I would love a couple of field workers to pay 12 bucks an hour to hoe.

If it’s gets empty, and the ground gets saturated with rain are you concerned it might float up?

The propane company buried our 1000 gallon tank in late 2008 and no issues since.

I’m not much of a coffee drinker, Kyle, but those who embrace the Nanny State will likely switch to tea. And those that don’t will likely soon be paying a new coffee-health-tax to offset the cost of their supposed cancer treatments.:confused2:

Been wearing long sleeved shirts and a hard hat with earmuffs while cutting down the sage the past couple of days, and could sure use a better sweat band. Taking it in small hour or two doses helps, as does ibuprofen for my old sore back. Done with cutting now, and trying to decide if I should use an herbicide on the remaining “trunks” sticking up out of the ground or dig them out with a shovel. Sure don’t want ‘em coming back, so I’ll likely dose them and let them decay in the ground the rest of the year until the fall rains soften things up again. But back to head gear, I used a wide brimmed straw had during my aborted mowing attempt, and will use it again after the lupins go to seed. Wish it had a chin strap, as I’m sure it’ll blow off in anything stronger than a breeze. Probably stick with long sleeves, too; you’ve given good advise to us Buppies, and hope you’re near the end of your malanomas.

Still trying to get the old lunch platter MacBook Pro going again. It’s looking like maybe a bad or poorly seated memory chip, as the thing started beeping after a restart yesterday. This after passing Apple’s Hardware test with flying colors. It all started after the latest High Sierra OS install onto an internal SSD, and there are lots of people that have had similar problems. A friend of mine had to remove the internal SSD from his MBP and install it in an external USB enclosure to get any use out of it, something to do with the new disk format Apple came up with.:confused2:

RNG, use cut stump treatment. Paint on mixture of 25% Triclopyr (Remedy) 75% Diesel. You need to do this pretty soon after cutting or end will begin to heal over. Remedy has little or no soil activity so, you can dose down the sage pretty well.

It might if the ground is totally flooded and got really soft. As a matter of fact some popped out of the ground during hurricane flooding. However, I'm told as long as it is filled >40% when that happened I'm OK. In the last two hurricane flood, mine stayed put.

It was 41* for the low this morning, it was in this mid 70's yesterday and sunny. It's overcast this morning with a chance of showers today. The high will be back in the 70's, with the wind 15-20. It looks like we have a good chance of storms all the way though the weekend.

I was going paint the watershed some time this weekend, I guess I'll have to put that off for awhile.

I haven't owned a short sleeved shirt for over 40 years. I usually wear a ball cap in the winter and a straw hat in the summer. I found out a long time ago I don't tan, I burn. I think having blue eyes and blonde hair ( what I have left ) has something to do with that.

65°F and light rain this morning, going up to 89° today. Some heavier stuff rumbled through the area around rush hour, but mostly went north of us. Neat light show for the drive in, though.

Stopped at Harbor Freight on the way home form work yesterday and swapped out the wrong wheels for the correct ones, and got The Wife's hose cart fixed and mobile again. The ones I bought the first time had the wrong diameter hub. Oddly enough, the ones with the bigger hub and steel wheel rims (the others were plastic) were only 50¢ more each. I hadn't brought any cash into the store with me, and felt weird using my card for a $2.16 charge.

Landscaping contractor was still working when I got home. In fact, they worked until it got dark, hoping to get as much done as they could before the rains moved in today. They are very nearly done with the retaining walls and the stairs. They even got the seed blankets rolled out and staked in place before they left. Progress.

The recent, ongoing weather pattern of AM's in the low 40F's and afternoon "heat" will continue for a while. I am trying to get things done outside early. Wifey is still mending. It is still too wet to really move the tractor far. Rider has a flat. I can probably fire that up soon; green stuff is starting to grow around here.

Lifestyle changes require time, "research" and changes in established life patterns as many of you already know. A lot of you here helped me/us take some risks and make some changes. My morning �fasting blood sugars are now ranging ~100. If I snacks (munchies) <120. "Strangely" I was going hypo-glycemic ~ "Happy Hour" :embarrassed: that seems to be now "corrected" so far.

I am sorry to read about all the skin cancer here. Because of your experiences and others like you I started wear long sleeve years ago and now I wear an SPF sun shirt. I need to avoid direct sunlight. I really liked my Tilly on my boat, but I can not stand chinstraps and I lost it overboard more than once (still have it). I found it too warm to wear in the heat. Now I wear a floppy wide brimmed denim(?) hat that protects against sun and biting/sucking bugs, or my straw hat. The less the people and sun see of me the better.

David and Sophie- I hope that you two remain safe and with power.

PJS- I like the stonework. Your contractor is doing a nice job.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all and those on the mend keep mending, and those not in need of mending stay that way.
