Interesting day.

Just as I posted this morning, John our cottage tenant texted saying the power had hiccuped during the night, microwave clock reset. I didn’t know as I was still on my bike and neither Sophie nor I had been to kitchen to see our own resets.

First visual check and only indicator was a yellow led that turned green as I was there. Decided to run the generator before sears tech arrived as if was raining and overcast, washing machine doesn’t like that generator.
While awaiting Sears I decided to look closer as it hiccuped again after the generator went off.
Sears tech replaced the power board but thinks maybe it,s the computer module as it acted differently this time. Wait and see.
Back to our power, I discovered the top connection on master inverter A breaker was arching - not good.
just an indication of the working room.

John and I removed the breakers and rerouted the master inverter feed to another breaker. System currently running on 3 inverters.

Breaker terminal actually broke off during the process as the plastic was quite brittle.

Looks to me like it has been making poor contact for awhile.

So back with power and new breakers on order. John and I will have a full day working on the system soon.

59 going up to 75 today, a nice day just as Roy says.

propane company coming this morning to pull out my 500 gallon tank and replace it with a 1000 gallon.
Then I have to go to local fence company and pick out a privacy fence to hide the thing, big and ugly....right in the middle of my back yard
so I sure don't want to see it when I look out. Will cover the fence with climbing roses, have a plan.

Gave up on selling car. Used car dealer said he would buy car at same trade in as new car dealer.
well, this was certainly a learning experience and if you ever hear anyone make the statement:
Oh I bought this Jag after all the depreciation is out of it
Then you can smile quietly and say Good Luck....
At least one less thing to maintain and I save the car insurance costs.
Selling it to him tomorrow afternoon.

While I'm stuck waiting for the propane folks, going to be fiddling with Super A, time to cultivate the corn. Need to set cultivators wide to begin with and hope I don't rip up anything worthwhile. Needless to say my corn didn't come out in perfect straight rows so I'm not sure how this will work out. But I'm sure not hand hoeing that corn much more. Gosh I would love a couple of field workers to pay 12 bucks an hour to hoe.

Good morning all, 52 this morning going to 77. Found out parts are scarce for my little Echo top handle chainsaw. Don't know why, it is only a little over 25 years old. Decided to get a Stihl and sell this one if I can get it fixed. How many parts will be available 5-10 years from now.

Drew, you can get more corn in a crooked row than you can a straight one, so I know you were planning ahead.

52 going to 70s later, 3-4 days now of pleasant northeast breeze and sunny weather, but we badly need rain.

And some prayers in reverse for that wound to heal. I've had two melanomas, one they took a hunk out of me the size of a deck of cards on my upper back.
No choice, melanoma is bad news, spreads too easily. They've really been chopping away at you Randy, I'd ask for a ten year warranty of "that's it"...

My landscaper fireman doesn't wear a hat and I simply tell him "you are going to die from that" and he thinks he's invincible.
No, and the sun is getting stronger I read.

My hands and arms are dark brown by now, even putting on spf70. I try to be regular about using it,
particularly on the backs of my hands where age is doing a number all by itself. Plus a Tilley hat.
I have washed my Tilley hat dozens of times and boy is that durable. That's a hat worth the money.

Time to pour second cup of coffee. 48° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 80° with chance of rain in late afternoon. Got paver project complete. Just need to do a little cleanup. Still have to clean similar 500 sq ft area in front of house. But it can wait until I get caught up on some other projects. Pond maintenance today. Then sit back and enjoy warm temperatures and rain pattering on the roof.

Celebrated oldest sons birthday yesterday. 55 years old. We sent him a card. He called to say thanks as he traveled down I-20 on his way to Dallas. Everyone else sent text or phone calls.

David S, good sized contact. Hope it's not from to much load on that line.

42F clear upper 70's for high.

Grass finally starting to grow in some places,maybe by this weekend have to give the lawn its first hair.
Off to work soon but not before filling feeders and E muffin.
