$628.20 for a chair? I paid less than that for my couch! And that doesn't even include assembly, which out here costs an additional $100.39. I guess everything is more expensive in Kalifornia, huh Drew?

they make many models of chairs RNG and I paid much less for it.

67°F and sunshine.
Big beautiful moon last night.

Spent too long and too much money in town yesterday, but a good day. Food in the later, propane filled for the cottage, gas and diesel cans full again...

Got a comment about my weight loss, so even if the numbers aren’t large the effect must be noticeable.

Prayers for all

Be safe

Have a great day

Got 1/2 the sod/dirt cleaned up before rain moved in. 2 buckets full. Felt good to do somethings outside. Seat time is always good time.

Good Uh, morning... I mean afternoon. Was up early but to sleepy to post. :) Going up to 59 today and sunny and then wet maybe for a good while. Need to gas up the truck while I have $1.90 off a gal. Pick up a little food and pick up wife's weight machine that was supposed to be here two weeks ago. Will likely take it easy other than that. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.

Randy, you are right we are likely dumb sheep.:)

Prayers for all. Have a great day. Ed

I didn’t say dumb, Ed, I meant the Lord’s flock, but you may be right! :D

Good morning all, 35 going to 59 and sunny, then chance of falling weather through Wednesday. The funeral was wonderful, it was her family and friends, plus church family talking about the old woman they all loved and respected. I can only hope my funeral is like that.
Tired this morning, hope you all have a great day. Prayers for RIP, LS and all in need. Ed

Glad that it went as well as it could have. I'm doing my best to soak in the gravity of my religion's most important 3 days this weekend.

Jack Daniels works in similar manner.

I can't seem to get any work out of Jack Daniels. What's your secret?

I'm guzzling coffee today. Need to open up sinuses, and help the throat.
Try some strong horseradish....on 2nd thought never mind....I wouldn't wish that on an enemy, much less a friend.

Wng,I hope you aren't getting an abscess. It sounds like it is, but you prolly need some anti-biotics followed by some dentistry.

Eric, just think how fast you could go get those poor, cold lambs and get them back to some heat with that Raptor. (Hope y'all warm up soon)

Between church services, work, health appointments, I'm trying to build the kids a chicken coop. I'm re-purposing some crates. One of which was involved in a SOCOM target acquisitioning project. It will be a bit hap-hazard compared to PJS's wifey's coop, but hopefully it will work. I'm having 2nd and 3rd thoughts about that I should have purchased one....Sam's has one for $299.

I hope all of you have a blessed Easter. I appreciate you all and consider you all my friends. Prayers for Ed, Randy and Ellen, Rip, LS, David Sodamo's wonderful wifey, and Wng's toothache.

Our local grocery chain had bone in rib eye roasts on sale for $4.77 lb. I bought a 7 lb and a 5 pounder. One will be cooked for Easter overnight in a crockpot. (No one in my family likes rare meat). I plan to have as many people over so I will just have a tiny slice myself...I remember in 1977, I ordered and ate a 32oz prime rib at Victoria Station on Kirby just north of the Astrodome in Houston. It had 2 bones, so I didn't have to eat that much.

Also plan to pressure cook some fresh green beans and red new potatoes. YUM YUM.

Posted earlier that spring was in the air BUT
checked forecast and Tues/Wed we are to get 30 cm (about 16") of that darn white stuff, and I thought spring was here. Problem will be that it will be wet and heavy and plug the blower chute.
That is a near record for spring snow.
Maybe if I have enough scotch on hand I can wait for it to melt. LOL.
Flooding is our worst fear for many but I'm OK in that department.

I recently got a heavy leather office chair for free. Takes up a lot of space compared to my old chair.

My wife periodically fusses at me to get a new chair to replace the one I'm now sitting in. Yep, it looks pretty bad and worn, but it's actually quite strong and quite comfortable, so I see no need to replace it.

PILOON; le marde blanc (lets see what the nanny does with that one):D
we are only getting about 2". (2-4cm)

Wngsprd; back in 1970/71 I was so tired of constant tooth aches that I got them all out. I haven't had any teeth for 47 years. NO I do not eat baby food. I eat pretty much anything except nuts.

I am sitting in THE most uncomfortable office chair, but with the other expenses the chair is one of the last items to get.

Good evening everyone.

Lot's of things happening on the Saint Bernard rescue front. We will be adopting a 3 y.o. male with a auto-immune challenge early this coming week and as it now works out (hopefully), a 2 y.o. female St. B. in an "abusive" home environment. Logistics are being arranged as the dogs are out of state. I do not have any pictures that I can attach yet. Then this stuff will go to another thread.

I hate Facebook.

I made horseradish yesterday. It is basically shredded and minced fresh horseradish root + white vinegar. Done with a water bath and an open window with our Cuisinart. One must use at one's own risk. It will clear the nasal passages immediately and will make you cry.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

Thomas how's the boo boo?

   / Good morning!!!! #73,732
Buppies- Thanks for the + thoughts about the St. B. rescues. The male adoption is definite and he has some medical stuff (in remission). The female who came from Puerto Rico recently is in a "bad situation" she needs rescued. Her rescue is definite; logistics currently uncertain. I have not seen Wifey this energized in a long time. Things happen for a reason. Lots of logistics are being arranged.

Happy Easter and Passover as observed. This is the Season of rebirth and regeneration.

My + thoughts, prayers, hopes, and wishes for all.

Good night - evening? Got gas for the truck today, got 23.375 gal for $9.33. That is .399 cents a gal!!! I get a discount when I buy groceries and I have been saving them. $2.20 off a gal. I enjoyed that.

Jbrum, Glad you are going to be getting at least one big dog, hope you can get the second.

Wngsprd, praying for your tooth.

Night all. Ed

"Brogen" laying down during during his "Play Date" evaluation. His videos looked like he was decently dog and leash socialized

"Leah" after her fear-aggression evaluation and grooming.

One quickly learns to respect a St. B.'s teeth gnashing inches away from one's face along with the associated spittle. Wifey and I do not need a "Cujo" roaming around this place. I did not enjoy the Saint Bernard "Nantucket Sleigh ride" I experienced while one of my St. B.'s decided upon chasing a groundhog while on leash. Their strength is impressive. I forget just how many 1000#'s they can pull; I am overweight, but a lightweight in a dog-pull.

Kyle, we usually have a ribeye roast for New Years. We’ve got quarters, in my workshop, with a full kitchen so I don’t get in the way in the main house kitchen.

I prep the ribeye and put it on a rack in large roasting pan. Preheat the convection oven to 500 degrees. Put ribeye in oven and bake for 30 minutes then turn oven off and ever open oven door. I’ve got a remote reading thermometer with probe in the ribeye. I watch meat temperature until it’s about 150-155 degrees internal. Remove from oven and cover with HD foil.

Perfect medium rare every time.

The biggest advantage to doing this, in the other kitchen, and secret to success is NEVER opening the oven door.

Try it ... you’ll like it! If you want more well done, leave oven closed longer to perhaps 160-165 degrees internal.

Oh .... my Jack Daniels is taken, by mouth, after dinner with a good cigar.

Thanks for the tips. I have a nice temp probe setup. Will use it.

Actually, I'm not a big fan of Jack Daniels. I heard their higher ended stuff is really good. I like a good rum....or a Shiner Bock, or most anything from Stephen's Point Brewery.
