Good morning!!!!

came in to kitchen and AccuWrong said it was 75 out this morning. No. 60, still very warm and 82 today, amazing.
Guess I'd better check the batteries in the sender.

Taking Jag down to local import repair place and have them check the brakes. I replaced two rotors, feels like another one is warped, shakes the car. Once fixed, it goes in Craigslist. I really want to get the Subaru in the garage and out of the daily golden pine pollen snow.

When I get back from that, I'll be in the garden all day.

Have not looked that far Toppop but I hope not. Heat waves are hard on those of us who work outside

I said minor, not really a heat wave at least here, 90 might get there. Looks like 3-4 days in the 80s.

Our first real outbreak of pollen will hit today, but it’ll be 10 days or so, depending on temps, before my world is yellow green.

Shorts today for me, those lucky ladies!

48, but going to 81. Opening Day is finally here! Go Orioles!

Haircut today, and might have to make an unplanned stop at the dentist. :(

Chainsawed a couple of logs and carried with the grapple, then changed the tractor over to spring mode from winter mode yesterday..., took off the grapple and the carry all box, put the bucket and 3 pt tiller on. Then shoveled out my woodstove ashes pit, which had become a 3 foot tall volcano from burning more wood this year that any other. Then shoveled 4 FEL bucket loads of sand out of the creek by hand next to the bridge...sore back today. I have a place planned that I may be able to drive into the edge of the creek and use the FEL bucket to dig sand out once it is a bit drier.

Prayers for your family, Ed.

Poured second cup of coffee. 38° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 44° with rain through out the day. Yesterdays plans got put hold, Forgot wife had a doctor appointment. May take snow blade off today in between rain drops. That's after we take dog in for her annual checkup. No other plans for today.

While I am on the conservative side of the isle. I read different news sources. Doing a Google search for Conservative News brings up a completely different list than using DuckDuckGO.com.

Looking, "eh" is a common one. How about "Aboot". :D

Prayers for all in need. Especially ED and Rip.

Good Morning All.

toppop; you wish! I don't think the ladies really want to see hairy, spindly legs and knobby knees. :D

26 and going to a high of 46 Wind SSE 9 mph. 60% chance of showers.

I checked the bank account last night and YES! the tax rebate is in. $8666.45, I will get a bank draft for the previously stated 4 grand, only I will get it made out to the finance company and give them a shock.
The rest of the rebate will go towards a new shelter logic shelter (10x24), 4 loads of pit run and a load or two of granular "A" ( 3/4 minus stone), and 50 sacks of quick crete, 30 2x8s, 8 4x4s 12' long. But before all that gets done, the snow has to go. I don't care if the frost isn't out of the ground but the snow must go.

Ed, the hardest part will be when you see her in the box. Stay strong my friend.

Have a good day all

L4N, you clearly had that check spent before you got it and sounds like you're going to have a nice building to show for it when you are done.
that's a lot of lifting, watch your back

Good morning! 60˚. Lots of lightning last night toward Giddings, bet Kyle got a show. 4.36" rain yesterday. County road is sloppy this is the first rain on the new gravel/clay mixture they put on the road and after one more grading and packing hopefully the slop will be minimized.

Feels good to get stuff paid off...

BTW, I called our local truck driver and a bob tail load (roughly 14 yds IIRC) of screened gravel is now $285 here. Used to be $140 in 2004... My pay hasn't doubled since then.

Good morning All!

Rough stormy night. Right after we laid our heads down, the lightning started cracking all around us. I get up and look at the radar and there is a hook shaped storm headed our way. I turned on the storm tracks and it showed a possible tornado just minutes away. I got the family up and huddled, then started praying. The rain was so loud and heavy on our metal roof, I could not listen for that "locomotive" sound. A downside to metal roofs. After a few minutes the storm settled down a bit. But it kept coming in waves for 4 hours. So, not much sleep here for me. But thankful to not be hit by a tornado.

We ended up with aboot 5.5" of rain.
