It only got down to 28* this morning, yesterday was sunny and in the the high 40's. Looks like today is going to be overcast all day and back in the 40's and windy.

The wife is bringing the grandson up for a few day's, it's their spring break. Not sure how I'm going to keep them busy.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Good morning to all! Well, when I said yesterday that I would send the rain over the Texas way, I didn't mean ALL of it. We got wind, wind, and more wind. Couple of very brief sprinkles, just enough to dirty the cars. Chilly out this morning, frost, low of 29. Should go up to 56.

Randy, you are correct about the gladiator grill. My son searched and searched until he found one in good shape. He (we) both love the look of those grills.

Jay, the knee feels pretty good this morning, but now the lower back and butt are sore from sitting all day yesterday :confused2: can't win. I'm going to move around a little more today.

Ed, time will heal, take care. Extra prayers out for you and your family.

Hope everyone has a great day.

67°F and .01 inches rain. Not sure what the day will bring.

Probably should have finished taxes yesterday but got involved updating the 2018 spreadsheets instead of staying in 2017.

Got a start on my IP chicken soup. Amazing what an one or two does. Nice rich broth and all the bones removed (mostly as I always miss one or two).

Prayers for all

Be safe
Have a great day

Just a thought for you to think about for a while.
Medical errors are no#3 cause of US deaths, Researchers say. Researchers at John Hopkins say there is no way to know the true numbers but at least 250,000 people die in the us each year from medical errors. The way the Go sets up reporting hides the true numbers.

Fox news had a report saying we pay twice what other developed countries pay and have a lower life expectancy.

My dad, mom and uncle died of medical mistakes and or medicine. There have been two natural deaths in the family during that time. Saying this so you will think about what the DR's say and know they are not always right. Ed

Ed- I agree. There is so much BS; it's mind boggling. I am not a great fan of Fox News, but I agree. Are we a "health care developed country?" :censored:

Good evening all. 52F for the start, overcast, near calm wind. Sky stayed overcast, wind stayed down and temp rose to 61F. Worked on getting ready for Easter Hill country tour, 200 miles in 3 days based in Kerrville, TX. Haircut, shopping in town, was going to ride but started misting :(. Got the rides complete and downloaded to bike GPS. Leave tomorrow about 1pm.

Ed; my condolences for your loss. May your mother R.I.P.

It is kinda odd, but if one stays around people long enough the one can usually pick up their accent and idioms. If I hang around in the south long enough I usually end up speaking y'all.
The Canadian 'eh' I believe came originally from jolly olde England.

I am back from my kindergarten meeting, as I call the season start up meetings. Another one to do on either April 4/5. Not sure which day and will find out for sure tomorrow. The trip down was uneventful except for the three deer I saw in the ditch 3/4 of the way down. I left home at 2 A.M. for a 3.5 hour trip so I would land there before rush hour and give me a 2 hour power nap in the Jeep.

I stopped at the boat. It isn't in the water yet as there is still ice in the slips.

The meeting at the dealers about the back hoe went good. I set up the date (I originally wanted them to pick it up on the 15th April) but the 15th is a Sunday, they offered the 13th, I said no way. I'm superstitious so we settled on the 16th and back here on the 18th.
The goobermint hasn't coughed up my income tax rebate yet, so I put 2 grand down and will finance the rest, fully open, so when the rebate comes in I will dump another 4 G's on it and pay it off over the summer. I can do that standing on my head.

It was nice and warm here today, I had my heater shut off most of the way up.

You guys have a good evening/night

Taxes Done!!!! Well, almost. Computed and ready to efile after a final sanity check, then determine when. Not in a hurry to send more money to the waste pit, but thankfully it isn’t enough to trigger any penalty and less than I feared.

Other than that got two drone flights in, both fun and without incident.
Also got another area mowed, I think leaving just one smallish area before having to start over

Not an overly sunny day here but apparently set a high temp record in Hilo -90°. Fortunately, due to our elevation and trade winds highest we’ve seen is 84° over the years. 78° our high today.

Sorry Bill but not enough to pay for a backhoe.

I feel your pain, David. E-filing is done, ended up with an eight dollar penalty. Figured out more of the income came at the end of the year and was able to reduce that by three whole dollars! Still significant payments to both state and feds, but I'd rather have that money working for me all year than doing nothing in the gummint bank somewhere. The e-payment is set for April 1, giving me time to figure out what happened if it doesn't go through. I've been filing on paper for the past few years because of an IRS snafu, but am trying again this year to go all modern. fingers crossed...

I don’t seem to find taxes as fun any more. Hard to believe I built AppleWorks spreadsheets that figured NJ and Ga state taxes and even printed them accurately on the forms back in the 80’s. I did Fed taxes using Howard Soft Tax Preparer. Perhaps taxes were just simpler in those days. Don’t think I even printed last year’s.

Guess I was lucky this year in that I only owe on Fed not State return. Noticed the efile option you can file and pay later (NLT 17th).
I’ll probably wait until after the 8th putting me in a new credit card period should I chose that route.
