Ed- I am glad that your Wife had her private time with Mom too. I hope that the rest of your family is doing OK.

I should check my own pictures a little more thoroughly.:embarrassed: I can not blame insufficient coffee. I'll try a better gender count and mix the next time they show up.;) Thanks for your observation and more importantly your checking in.

Take care.

J

Andrew- I was not a happy camper when my original seatbelt failed. It was quickly replaced and not as cheaply as your installation. Nice clay. I agree with Ron about the bucket welds. Thanks for sharing.

Behind the seat, on each side, are two holes from the factory with 10mm threads. I suspect the original seatbelt, if it had one, went there. I know the chair is a brand new replacement, so I imagine the seatbelt was torn up as well, and who in east-central europe cares about safety anyway? :-D I'm glad VW makes the seatbelts both easy to remove from their old cars, and with a 10mm mounting hole to put them on to old tractors. :) The only thing that would be better is if I were to find a retractable lap belt.

I purchased seatbelt replacement through Amazon.:( It was deigned for "forklifts." Apparently when USA OSHA upped the safety regs on forklifts a "market" was created for aftermarket products. I do not have friends with nice "salvageable stuff" laying around anymore. :( I hope you can find a compatible retractable lap belt somewhere. 10mm may be a standard size?

The Jeep is a J 10, just a typo. I thought it funny that the first question about a half buried truck that had to have been in the spot 10 plus years, was does it run.

Why don't you offer him $500 for it?

BEF-

Really nice. I love to see the Toms puff up and "dance." I have never seen the "display" at the feeders before . Despite the snow here the Toms and Hens are interested in more than eating.

The Saint Bernard Rescue Group contacted us Saturday morning before we left for NYC. We have a standing application with this foundation. We expressed an interest in an available dog in ME recently. The SBRG person and I discussed the dog and dog raising. It was a + conversation. They wanted my vet's information which was promptly sent before we left. We are hoping for the best. Our vet(s) of 30 years are not a problem; the competition for available dogs is. We'll see.

Hope you have lots of slobbers very soon. :) Ed

Ed- Thanks. We are still finding "globbers" around here . As far as I care they are permanent fixtures. ;). The Pharoes built pyramids; the St. B.'s throw globbers to mark their histories. Very cheap and practical. ;) The passenger cab in the Tundra is a Saint Bernard proving ground as to the wearing strength of the "globbers." There could be military applications.

I really hope all is well in the household and with you and your wife. Hang in there- J

PJS thanks for the music selection specializing in tubers? Couldn't find a good tuba song so I went with the next base tube, trombones to get those taters going. 76 to be exact.
Seventy-Six Trombones, from The Music Man - The Mormon Tabernacle Choir with Laura Osnes - YouTube
They seem to be enjoying it, more are popping up to investigate.

Speaking of investigation, I cannot believe Buckeye let me down. The internet searches came up with nothing so I had to hit the pavement.
I found the answer of where to search for the information with three key search words Firefighter, Death, Ellinger.

Fayette County had their first firefighter ever to die in the line of duty from burns he suffered at a grass fire in Ellinger Texas.
That is why just the fire station in Lee county also had their flag at half mast and the other business did not. It was ordered by a Fayette County judge.

Drew, they were awesome pics of the originals. I noticed the chains front and rear...pretty much would go anywhere like that.
