David, congrats on selling it and contributing positively into the CL ethics universe. I'll miss the Sequoia, too, but at least there is still the Tundra.

Good Morning!!!! 45F @ 6:15AM. Light rain this morning with thunderstorms by evening. High near 50F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Inch and a quarter of rain in the last 24 hours, with more due in over the next ten days. No big stormes, just showers and drizzles, good for soaking in instead of running off. The deer are gonna start having trouble keeping the grass short.

Very nice snow pictures, thanks for sharing. The snow blowers are sure getting a workout back east!

Speaking of deer, when I ran up the driveway yesterday to get the mail, a half dozen of them were laying down in the upper pasture, just like they owned the place. The surprising part is that everything was soaked, including the deer, and they didn't seem to mind at all.:confused2:

Much easier to price something at or below where people are willing to buy it than price it too high and have it sit with no interest. Well played, David.

And I've had people show up to buy something and offer less than what was agreed upon. Usually they go home empty handed. And it's happened the other way 'round, and I've wasted a trip. Don't know why people act like that, just because they can, I guess.:confused3:

Hope you've found some good trouble there, Randy.

Happy Birthday, Drew!

The parts box for the old motorcycle had four throttle cables in it, but none of them were any good. And it turns out that a shim or two is needed for just the right wheel bearing adjustments, so two more orders went out yesterday for those parts. Hopefully they are the last two. No sign of spark at the plugs yesterday, but there's an outside chance something isn't wired correctly, so that's what I'll look into this morning.

Finally got word last night on dimensions for the mechanic's part, so I'll get that done and run it into town for him today. Probably pick up some groceries while I'm in there.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

snow line has gotten very close to me, just about ten miles away. But headed North and stopping by lunch.
Then I go get two 50 pound bags of potatoes out of the barn and spend the afternoon in the garage cutting them up.
Figured out how to get my Oontz speaker re-paired to my laptop, so I can take that out to the garage and hear tunes.

My sister was using Amazon's Echo at her house, yelling at the speaker to play this song, or that song. It worked most of the time too, but the speaker they give you is not as good as the Oontz.

Which model Oontz Speaker do you have Drew? I’ve looked at them to replace the iHome speaker I have had for about ten years. It doesn’t have Bluetooth. In fact, the dock on it is the old style wide iPhone / iPad connector.

The prices on Amazon, for Oontz, run from about $10 to $150.

wow RNG thanks. You too Billie and the gang in general.
is that going to set off any nervous systems again? Remember the last time the flashing couldn't be killed? It kept reappearing...spooky. :D

ok, warmed up enough to get going.

I bought a cheap one and it sounds great, might try one of their better ones next.
Cambridge Soundworks is very respected speaker builder. I use this with my laptop.

FYI for others-- those RotoZip bits will work in Dremel-like highspeed rotary tools. I have some of them that I use occasionally for free hand cutting in plastic electrical boxes.

Another "cool tool" is an oscillating tool. Perhaps more useful than a Rotozip. You can plunge cut in to materials with the blades, and also the blades are useful for making a lot of cuts in tight places.
Thanks
Used my dremel once, the vibrating cutter a few times. Dont have a rotozip.

Good deal David! I had to laugh, years ago and way before CL, I sold a J-10. To keep it short, I had two guys standing in my living room bidding on it. They got to $400 more than asking and my kids were sitting there with jaws dropped. I finally got louder than them and explained that I’d promised it to first guy at a price and would not renege on him. Second guy left thinking I was crazy, but my kids learned a valuable lesson about fairness and honesty that has stuck with them for over thirty years. My son recently sold a Wrangler and had a similar experience. He said the extras $500 sounded good, but he knew he had to honor his promise. He called me and said, thanks dad.
Nice job.

Good morning everyone.

Trails_End- Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Drew- Happy Birthday. I hope that all your birthday wishes are met or even better exceeded. Thank you for the pictures. Proof that Spring comes eventually.

David- Congratulations on the sale of your vehicle.

Randy- I really hope things go well with Ellen. I like straight shooters. "Romance, excitement, & adventure"........

Ed- Good luck with the meeting with the Head nurse. It reads like Mom is adjusting to the new meds.

We got 12" of snow yesterday and possibly more today with predicted snow squalls = NWS issued a Winter Weather Advisory for this region today. Tractor is preheating. I am caffeinating.

Hate selling stuff also, too many lowballers.
Gotta do something with the old pilot, although might keep thru the summer in case the youngest gets a summer job.

How do you cut out for an outlet with the rotozip? Looks like a drill bit. Do you go along outside edge of the box?

25°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 52° today.

Our audit went well yesterday at work. Consultant found a few holes we need to shore up a bit, but nothing major. Shooting for having our ISO 9001:2015 Certification by May. It's been a long time coming. Will be glad when it's done, and I can start focusing on real issues and improvements. Nice to reach these milestones, though.

Happy Birthday, Drew. Your brother-in-law is clearly a talented man as well. Thanks for sharing.

Temp warmed up from 25-28 overnight, still cold and blustery.
Got some cleaning done on the Monte Carlo, went to see mom and had a 2 hour 27 minute call with Ellen, after an hour of texting. She told me in no uncertain terms that we are too old to beat around the bush. If I want a relationship with her that she wants it all, romance, excitement and adventure. We both had it before and shouldn稚 expect less of ourselves.
Once I recovered I invited her over Friday night and bring overnight provisions. She accepted. Not sure what I知 getting into! LOL

Go for it!!!
And, don't forget the Viagra
(if everything has a bluish tint, you've taken too much)

The rotozip bit is a lot like an end mill, just meant for sheetrock or wood. So plunges in because its tipped like a drill, then you move it along the outline of the shape you need cut.

There is a Dremel plunge route attachment that would make using it like a Rotozip simple.

All told though, I also rarely use my Dremel. It has its uses, but probably more useful for those doing modelling or working with delicate parts. Maybe my kids will get in to some craft where its useful for them.
