Good morning!!!!

Mom used to scramble hog brains with eggs, wish I had missed that too.

We had that when we butchered hogs and we had calf brains and eggs when we butchered a calf. There also used to be one all night restaurant in Dallas in the 1970s that had calf brains and eggs on the menu. I always liked'em.

Good Morning!!!! 37F @ 5:15AM. Cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 46F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Picked up another 0.41" of precipitation yesterday (how's that for a big word?), some of it coming down as hail. Don't think it was snow because it bounced when it hit the patio. Wasn't much of it, just enough to see, and not nearly enough to turn anything white. And that's OK by me.

Do you make your own Alfredo sauce, Drew? Sounds yummy!

Aren't brains high in cholesterol? And doesn't that make 'em bad for you? Prolly shouldn't be any recipes for 'em in the Good Morning!!!! Cookbook, eh? They drink tea in England, so maybe we could add a few tea recipes, so Eric can contribute?:D

When I moved the propane tank, Bill, I found a pipe dope that was specifically recommended for natural gas and propane. I think there's a special tape that is propane rated, too. No leaks so far that I can tell, but then it's buried a couple feet deep and I probably wouldn't smell it even if it was leaking.

Added an inline fuse to the main power lead, then rewired the accessory socket on the old motorcycle yesterday so it was connected directly to the battery. From the factory it was wired to the tail light so that the lights on a sidecar could be powered. This frame has sidecar lugs, but with only forty horsepower, it'll never have a chair on it, at least not as long as it's sitting in my garage. Wired to the battery, I can use the socket for charging, and also for powering an electric jacket, not that I'll ever ride this thing when it's cold out. No, it's for sunny and warm Sunday mornings, when everybody's sleeping in and there's no traffic on the roads. Just about time to connect the battery and see if the magic smoke stays inside.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday...

It was 20* when I got up, yesterday wasn't to bad it got up to the high 40's. With sun most of the day and 10-15 mph wind. We are still under a winter storm warning tell 4pm. Looks like we got about 3 inches of snow overnight. The high will be around 30* with the wind at about 15-20.

I'll see if we get more snow before I go out and move it around.

I have a older sister that can burn hard boiled eggs. They will explode and smell bad. I'm not sure if my mom taught her how to boil water.

Hope everyone has a nice quiet Sunday.

Leftovers, leftovers, what are these leftovers you speak of?
We stopped having leftovers when the youngest started eating off the table good. Still ain’t figured out where the 23 pound 19 month old puts it.
Wife never was a big fan of leftovers. I was raised on them. She was raised on fast food and a much faster paced life than me. I still haven’t sped up enough for her.

I’m with Foxworthy when he said “People hear me talk and automatically want to deduct 100 IQ points.” Although never judge a book by its cover. My wife reminds me that, I’m not as dumb as I sound(accent) or want most people to think. I just smile. But some of you guys need a syllable limit.

Now that was funny! I've been told I have the same problem.

Cookbooks focused on leftovers. And brains are off the list IMO.

wng, sorry you had such a long outage. My mom has suffered them too, post hurricanes.

9000 peak/ 7000 running, but if using LP, drops to 8100/6300. Champion. 2 yr warranty. Sturdy but heavy, wheels are large enough to roll on grass pretty easily.

Yep, we skinned squirrels out right over the head, washed it thoroughly and fried the head, too. At the table, split the skull, ate the brains, a bite of meat on each cheek, and the tongue.

Aren't brains high in cholesterol? And doesn't that make 'em bad for you? Prolly shouldn't be any recipes for 'em in the Good Morning!!!! Cookbook, eh?

I haven't seen any in grocery stores or restaurants since the mad cow scare, and supposedly some folks died from something eating squirrels' brains.

That’s similar to the one I lost, except mine was gasoline only, I had it back fed into the box from my building. I just turned off the main to make sure I didn’t electricute the Wichita lineman. It ran my well pump, lift pump and fridge, plus any lights. It would run a burner, just not everything at once and certainly not the heat pump.

That could kill me.:embarrassed: Knowledge of words is a very poor indicator of true intelligence. Posted BS simply or verbosely worded is still BS.

I hear that "Don't give me your psychological BS" quite often. I suspect people's "first impression" of me is probably "not kind"; that's their problem not mine.

A cloudy start with temperatures hovering around 32F. The weather may warm to a cloudy mid40F. A good day to take stock of my stock of remaining seasoned firewood and start prepping for this predicted coastal storm midweek. Phil may see some showers/snow showers today as this storm slowly exists the region.

I never acquired the taste for head meats. I do like scrapple which is hard to find in this area.

I am seeing "ox tails," etc. again which were recalled during the "Mad Cow Disease" control period.

I really like reading cookbooks.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

I hope everyone has a decent day.

One class I took, years ago, was by an SMU college professor, Phd in English. He was teaching a class of police officers, and said all our reports should be written as the Reader's Digest wrote; 9th grade English, short sentences, no big words, but grammatically correct, with correct spelling.

Now I'm an old slow talking southern boy, so I know that I was sometimes thought even more ignorant than I actually am.

Was reading my Facebook friends post this morning.
One of our TBN family is in need of some prayers. Eddie Walkers wife is going to be going thru Chemo and Radiation for Cancer. Sending prayers their way.

I was "non gifted" "Special Tracked" throughout my early grade school years. In hindsight this was a true life learning lesson in empathy.

".... 9th grade English, short sentences, no big words, but grammatically correct, with correct spelling."- Bird

That's what the educators tried to teach me and failed. I still sometimes "diagram" my crazy/run on posts. I also learned through life experiences to "successfully" keep any report to 1 page.

Kyle- Out of curiosity, I tried your posted link, and was blocked in a threatening manner. This post is also a test.
